Claes is based in Darlington, which isn't exactly a fair distance away. It's a decent looking 6 so far, with Andy T effectively replacing Lemo and Richie replacing Claes. The seventh signing could be crucial, but, whoever it is, is joining a solid looking top 5 and a decent 'top' reserve, so there might not be as much pressure on them as there could have been.
-
Don't think Lemo is ours. Just announced on Twitter that 6 of the 7 will be announced tomorrow.
-
As Tsunami rightly says, they come in on a 7.
-
Off the top of my head it was something like Jonas B Andersen.
-
Yes, Claes is ours.
-
Riding at No 4 he wouldn't feature in heat 13 (unless we are talking about when R/R was in place).
-
If he did he would have somewhere near an 11 point average, I think.

This weeks "Speedway Star" has quoted George as saying, "Hopefully by next week, some, or at least one, of next year's Diamonds' team will be known. We have a very good idea of the side we would like to track, and considering how close we came to winning more than just the Knock Out Cup in 2012, there will be some familiar faces." Patience, I believe, is a virtue.

Lemo has just Tweeted and posted on Facebook that he won't be at Newcastle in 2013.

As it stands, Newcastle and Workington will meet at least 3 times home and away in 2013 (Ian Thomas Shield, League Cup and PL), not unlike Newcastle v Redcar last season (2012), when it got rather silly (and boring in my opinion) As Backless points out, regionalisation means nothing, only to fans, as a lot of the riders don't live locally to the track (a few exceptions to that, I know, but, in the main, riders live 100's of miles away). -
Likely..... as in likely. If I knew it was, I would have said "will be".
-
Pity the points limit is likely to be 42.50 then!
-
John Laurie (Frazer), actually!!!! But have to agree with the rest of your post. Too many promoters with their heads buried in the sand (or possibly elsewhere).
-
Which kind of sums Dick on the 'centre green' up, by wanting him replaced by a bloke who's been dead for 10 years! Got to hope Berwick announce their intention to run in 2013, otherwise all the great hype concerning the Ben Fund Bonanza will all be a bit of a waste of time.

I thought Rusty Harrison was banned until mid-2013?

The following riders all rode for Middlesbrough in 1987 in official matches (sorry, but it doesn't include guests!):- Martin Dixon, Mark Fiora, Steve Wilcock, Ian Atkinson, Peter McNamara, Ashley Norton, Andrew Buck, Mark Burrows, Geoff Pusey, David Holiday and Tracy Bray. The above taken from 'The Complete History of the British League' book. No idea if this helps, though!

For all those wanting Michael Palm Toft in the Comets side...... well he's just Tweeted that he's signed.............. For Scunthorpe!!!!

2013 - Changes / What Do You Like ?
StevePark replied to Lewis's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Good idea, in principle, but we want to reduce costs, not increase them. As for video evidence, not all tracks are covered by a DVD company (at least they weren't in 2012). I'll probably get 'shot down' for this, but a reduction in the team points to somewhere between 38 and 40 will help in reducing costs. Once things (financially) have settled down a bit, that can always be increased. 3pt British rider must be named in every team at the start of the season. Agree with Play-offs (but not for the league title). Go back to the Young Shield type end of season trophy (IF there's time!) for the Top 8. -
A lot could depend on if Edinburgh run, of course, but Matty finished on 5.66. Final averages here:- http://www.speedwaygb.co/issues12/pl12_issue_24.pdf No problem.
-
I have no idea (and last I spoke to Rene, neither had he). All I was doing was telling Pablo133 the averages for the riders he named in his post.
-
Robbo 7.86, Rene 7.93, Ludvig 6.84, Claes 6.20, Richie 5.78. Stevie 4.03 = 38.64. Assuming it's still 42.5 points limit, that leave 3.86 for the final place. Christian finished on 6.84.
-
Richie's starting average will be 5.78 (with a reduction if rules alllow?), so the chances of him becoming number 1 are remote (providing they keep the rolling averages).

I reported it last night - but the mods don't seem to have 'caught up' yet!
