  1. If I had the finances, yes I would. It's the way that he's gone about it worries me. People keep saying "how come he's such a great businessman with Thomas Armstrong and not Workington Speedway?" Running a business like Armstrong's and running a sporting business (whichever sport that may be) are completely different. It has become apparent (at least to me), Keith hasn't learnt that since he took over.
  2. So why has he threatened to do so? And, according to some "if all you have is negatative comments" then people shouldn't say anything? I thought that was the whole point of an open forum. People have an opinion and they are quite entitiled to put their opinion on here.
  3. Yes. As long as it's run before the season is over no fine would be implemented. It has happened in the past where league fixtures were raced after the deadline for Young Shield qualification and the like.
  4. The deadline for completing PL fixtures towards the Play-offs is Midnight Sat 22 Sept. You can still run a PL fixture after that, but as someone above says, that would count towards final league position only. I would guess if the Workington v Berwick fixture isn't run, Worky would be fined for not fulfilling their fixtures.
  5. George (English) has just tweeted to say Ludo has declared himself fit to ride at Somerset tomorrow.
  6. Really? No mention from Mr Denham about the money he has lost by very late postponements, when, in one case in particular, all he had to do was listen to an experienced rider (and visiting captain) to try and salvage the meeting. Feel sorry for the Worky fans, riders and Jacko. I used to love my trips over to Workington. Let's hope someone can come in and take over and run the show properly.
  7. Paul Starke for Steve. Mason Campton in for Monarchs. See here:- http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100081
  8. Knee injury (according to his Tweets on Twitter).
  9. According to the 'Chronicle' "Craig Cook is set to return to the Monarchs side." Link:- http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/motorsport-news/newcastle-diamonds/2012/09/15/craig-cook-in-the-mix-as-diamonds-aim-to-overthrow-monarchs-72703-31838549/
  10. If you have two (or more) out, then you have the choice of which you use R/R for and which you bring in a guest for. I guess the way of thinking is we are better off using R/R for Ludvig, which means Lemo can take an R/R ride, as well as Palm Toft, Christian and the two reserves.
  11. R/R for Ludvig and Michael Palm Toft guests for Richie (source George English after match interview for the Newcastle vs Plymouth DVD!). (I also THINK he said Paul Starke again deputises for Steve)!
  12. Unless Glasgow finish bottom of the PL, they will have the 7-12 positions Play-offs to ride in (no idea if it has even got a name!).
  13. Thought it was great that when Fisher finished 3rd in his second ride, he came back into the pits and punched the back wall and yelled out in frustration. It just goes to show he's still got personal pride. As Tsunami said, let's hope the takeover is successful and Plymouth can race on, without Mike Bowden at the helm.
  14. Updates should be available here (Newcastle website):- http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/live/. Also Berwick Twitter feed usually update.
  15. Paul Starke once again guests for the Diamonds (source Sheffield website).
  16. Ned will probably get 7 rides a match. I don't think it makes us stronger to be honest. The R/R rides will only be Ned, NL guest reserve and Christian, so the NL guest will have to take 4 rides, rather than the three with a guest for Richie. If R/R is at No 2 then Christian will be the R/R in heat 8 (as Ned is already in the race, providing he is at No 7, of course). If Richie is a month away, he could come back for October, so he could be back for the likes of some of the Play-offs, the League Cup final and the KOC final (if we reach them, naturally).
