  1. Club have to declare who is the higher of the two in the averages, unless they go down to the next decimal (for example if they were 7.392 and 7.391, as I don't know what the next decimals are, I'm using these as examples).
  2. I'd have Lewis Kerr back, for starters (rather than Bunyan) and agree with Andy Tully also returning. Both dependant on their parent clubs not wanting to use them, obviously. Doubt we'd get Robert Lambert.
  3. It doesn't need to be fullfilled at all. If there is a blank date then run it, if not, bin it. What I meant by it being 'meaningless' is that it is, in context of the season as there are official fixtures need running. The Tyne/Tweed Trophy is an 'unofficial' fixture. Either run it at the start of the season, or, when a date is available, or at the end of the season. I don't remember people losing much sleep over the Tyne/Tees Trophy being binned a few years back. Much the same here IMO.
  4. Back to back Premier League meetings, which have to be completed before the deadline for the Play-offs and therefore a damn sight more important than, what is in effect, a meaningless challenge match, with a trophy 'stuck on to it'.
  5. Run a double-header (which always lose the club money) for a meaningless fixture..... Yeah, that'll make sence....
  6. Probably the same as happened in 1995. Some current PL teams would withdraw (close) as they simply can't afford the one 'star' name (EL rider and therefore number one in the new league) and dropping down to NL as non-economical.
  7. Whilst I agree with most of what you say I would pose a few questions about the poor track preparation. Who would decide if the track is prepared properly? Riders? Referee? Oppostition? Fans? And, would the previous few days weather be taken into account and, also, how long each club has got to prepare the track (Somerset, for example can prepare days in advance, whilst Newcastle have a few hours on the day up to the meeting starting). Not being ar##y. Genuine question. Particularly on the weather/time front, as it is a major factor when trying to produce a good surface.
  8. If we are bringing a new rider in to replace Robbo, it has to be all done and dusted before the end of today.
  9. If we are bringing a new rider in to replace Robbo, it has to be all done and dusted before the end of today.
  10. I think the above post puts everything into perspective. Keep fighting Ricky.
  11. Of course, and, for all we know, they might have a clue. It's just 'us' poor fans who are told last of all. And, if I was the boss at Sky, I would show more PL matches and even an NL match or two, rather than the dross from the EL they show very week, that's providing Sky are going to renew the deal, which I personally doubt. After all if they are willing to ditch the GP, what chance has 'ordinary' League racing got?
  12. Your first statement is totally untrue. All I'm saying is the 'powers that be' can't even decide what is happening in 2014, so what chance of them deciding what is going to happen in 2015?! I totally agree that speedway is dying on it's backside and therefore needs a lift somehow. Unfortunately, I don't have all the answers to how to drag it back up, but I do realise it needs dragging back up, otherwise it will die (maybe not completely, but down to just a few tracks running meaningless meetings). I agree supporters are often left in the dark, which doesn't help. Just because I disagree on this point does NOT mean I disagree with everyone and everything, as you assumed at the beginning of your post.
  13. So, decide what's going to happen TWO years down the line.... teams vote in 2013 for 2015... and decide not to run at the end of 2014... when some clubs are unsure if they are running in 2014 to begin with!!!! Don't forget, it isn't that long ago they had the brilliant idea of 'Graded' reserves, where they would stay at reserve for 2 years - "to help them along" - and promptly scrapped it half way through the first year when a couple of riders improved dramatically (from memory it was Jon Armstrong and Steve Boxall, although it may have been Tai Woffinden).
  14. In other words, what should happen is the BSPA scrap the Autumn (End of Season) Conference and do away with the voting procedure and just announce NOW what is going to happen in 2014?
  15. Are we going back to 13 heats next season??
  16. Ludvig has proved time and time again, he isn't a 'big track' rider. Go on Ludde... prove me wrong!!
  17. I am sure the promotion will have done their homework, prior to him signing.
  18. Adults £14. Concessions £12. Juniors (up to 15) £2. This taken from the Coventry Website.
  19. In the title of the thread it says 18/4????? Surely that should be 18/8??? Mod Note - Sorted now
  20. The only other Brit I can think of is James Wright. Doubt it will be him or Richard Hall. Despite what northyorksbear says, I don't think he will be British at all, but he 'appears' to know who it is, so we will wait and see.
  21. Interesting............. http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100179
  22. When Andy got injured, no one knew how long he was going to be out for. Getting someone in short term for an unknown length of time probably proved virtually impossible, as riders wouldn't know how long they would be signing for. Now we know Christian is out for the season (hope he makes a full recovery and can get back next season) it should be easier to tempt someone to sign until the end of the current campaign.
  23. Lewis (Winthrop) actually won his third ride, once he got his bike sorted, after it had packed up at the start of his second ride. I was particularly impressed by Kyle Bickley, who looked very stylish for one so young, also Leon Flint looked handy too. Two names for the future I'm sure.
  24. Kevin Doolan will guest at number 1 according to Sheffield Press Release this morning.
  25. No doubt the Swedish authorities would say the same thing, in that he should ride for his Swedish side.
