  1. Businesses (in this case speedway promoters of each and every club), surely, should budget on 'worse case scenario'? So budget for no TV deal, lowest crowds etc.
  2. It's likely to be a different owner (if not new promotion) though, so who knows? A whole lot depends on how much the new owners have left after buying the club, as to how much they have to spend on new riders, be it loan fees or buying riders outright, for 2014. Who are the current list of Sheffield 'assets'? Anyone have a definitive list? As the new owners might have to go with mainly riders who are Sheffield 'assets' already.
  3. Hover over the persons name you wish to send a PM to. Click 'send message' and type your message and then send your message.
  4. Craig Cook has said he still wants to Double Up in 2014 (see the 'Doubling Up - Should It Be Allowed' thread).
  5. This hints that isn't going to happen (thankfully):- http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.23131
  6. What happens if a team suffer a couple of postponements in consecutive weeks? How are they supposed to pay the riders their 'guaranteed' wages, with no income over those weeks? Just a thought.
  7. Don't forget it's not that long ago (last season) that Adam Roynon was riding in all 3 leagues! I think Scrammy (on a 3.5 PL ave) can ride in the NL next season, but, for instance, Lewi Kerr (just over 6 PL ave) can't. I still think it's daft that, say Jason Doyle, can continue in the PL despite being an EL number 1, although the EL isn't as near as strong as it was a few years ago (the amount of PL riders in it proves that).
  8. Perhaps he could have said something along the lines of "We hope to see you all next year"?
  9. Now the season is over, yes, but you've had all season to approach George/Darryl/Alan with your grieviances. All three are approachable.
  10. Bonus points do not count towards the CMA/GSA anymore. They used to up until a couple of years ago.
  11. Clearly doesn't work for BT then!
  12. Overcast, but dry at the moment. Met Office Forecast:- http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/byker#?tab=fiveDay&map=SignificantWeather&zoom=8&lon=-1.57&lat=54.97&fcTime=1381618800
  13. A lot of tracks share with Greyhounds who run on a Saturday afternoon. Berwick might have a problem starting a speedway meeting at 3pm as Berwick Rangers kick off at the same time at the same venue. It might be okay at some venues, but many would have a problem. Trouble is that's only two months! The other four months of the speedway season cuts across the football season. June & July are the only months where it's football free, but they seem to be starting the football earlier every season!
  14. The trouble with that, is, of course, the main majority of promoters only rent the stadium from Greyhound/Rugby/Football folk, so have very little or no say in what the 'stadium' looks like. There are exceptions, but the vast majority are rented.
  15. According to Plymouth's Official Website, both Bech and Jensen will be there.
  16. Does it really matter what the weather is like in Plymouth (seeing as it's only Wednesday)? The meeting is on Friday at 7.15pm! We are at Somerset next Friday, so it won't be next Friday.
  17. They don't like it up 'em. And before anybody says it I'm not a 'Stupid Boy.'
