I think (but don't have a rulebook to hand) that it is down to the referees descretion. I would think, those who got flyers were moving/rolling as the tapes went up. The others moved before the tapes went up and other riders subsequently touched the tapes, therefore they are deemed (in the referees opinion) to have 'delayed the start.' Hopefully someone will have a rulebook and tell us if I am correct or not!

Yes Lambert would come in on a 3. But if you think He'll join Newcastle, you are living in 'Cloud Cuckoo Land'! I wouldn't touch Charles Wright with a bargepole. I can't remember him having a decent meeting round Brough.

Summers replaced by Wilko. Kus went off 15. First instance, Summers moved and Tully touched the tapes. Tully Ex for that and Summers for delaying the start, replaced by Wilko. Second instance, Kus moved and Lindgren appeared to touch the tapes (others may be able to confirm this). Kus Ex for delaying start, no punishment for Lindgren. After being 9-3 up after 2 heats, I'm afraid we want our backsides kicking for not getting anything out of the meeting. When Kus went off 15mtrs Not only did he catch up, he actually overtook somebody. I don't think I've seen Kus overtake anybody before!!

Is It Time For Redcar To Dispense Of Matej Kus.

I believe he has stated in the past he'd love to ride for Newcastle, but being a Sunday track prevents that happening. -

........ When he can be bothered. Unfortunatley he is amongst a growing number of riders, who, when they miss the gate, either don't have the ba**s to try and overtake, or don't have the know-how how to. If I were the Redcar promotion, I wouldn't have had Kus back this season, but it's all down to choice, I guess, and they chose to bring him back. On the Ostergaard discussion, I'd have him in my team. I like him as a rider and, from when I've seen him ride, he get you points when needed. -
Or use existing video/DVD production companies who 'film' at the tracks already (using those with TV quality pictures only, of course), like GRT Media, Re-Run, Clean Cut, etc., etc.

I didn't come up with the problems, you did. Why should I have any solutions to them?

And the soutions are???............................

Can I repectfully point out that using capitals is, in fact, in the Forum rules, i.e. do not to use capitals. Maybe underline the words you wish to emphasise? Meanwhile... Rather than keep on telling us that you are dead-set against the play-offs/Tac rides etc., etc., have you approached George/Darryl/Alan and discussed it with them? I am sure they would tell you why these rules/regs are in place and the chances of them being scrapped.
-
Yes, but, as I have already said elsewhere, the Play-offs were originally brought in because Sky said they would be televised, but then 'changed their minds.' I can see no reason, other than the point you make, why they should now be scrapped, i.e., unless the PL want to keep them.

I was at both those meetings and I was fuming (especially at Exeter where he 'trundled' round at the back) to say the least. Yes, on his night Davey 'Who' could be exceptional (especially at home), but you just didn't know which one would turn up. At least Ludde tries to put things right and, more often than not, can put in that ride that can make all the difference to the result. Out of the two, I know which one I'd prefer to have in my side.

Not bitter at all. Knew the rules before we started. We blew it in the Play-offs. End of. American Football and Baseball are regionalised, so a Play-off system is the only way to determine the overall champions. Speedway's PL play-offs originally were introduced NOT to determine the Champions, but to who would meet the bottom EL club to decide (although it was NEVER going to happen, as the likelihood of the PL team going to the EL was virtually NIL) who would ride in the EL the following year. As I also point out in an earlier post, Sky said "If you bring Play-off's in, we will televise them LIve," something they, in the end, did not do, yet the Powers that Be have decided to keep them.
-
Yes, but not to determine who the League winners are. Top 2 are promoted and 3rd - 6th play-off to determine who the third promoted team is. Team finishing top at the end of the season are still 'Champions'.
-
That's not going to happen! Newcastle can't run on 22nd Sept (PLRC) and have already scheduled the League Cup Final 2nd leg against Ipswich for the 29th Sept.
-
Leicester DID get all their fixtures in before the cut off. It's Redcar who have a match left after the match at Rye was postponed. If Redcar had been hammered at Rye then Leicester might have got 6th spot.
-
Keep clutching at those straws.
-
It goes on Race Points difference, which is why the League Table shows Redcar in 6th and Leicester 7th. The re-staging date has been provisionally arranged for 28 Sept. Cut off date is 16 Sept. That's after the cut off, so the current 6th and 7th places won't change.
