Pray, tell, what was underhand about it? Whether you agree with it or not, they have dropped a rider who had lowered his average by some way and replaced him with someone they think will be better. Whether they are right, or not, only time will tell. Good luck to both riders.

Nilsson rides div 2 in Poland for Start Gniezno. That is one of the problems you are going to have, by being a Sunday race-night, a lot of the type of riders people think we need will be racing in Poland, therefore ruling them out. The only way round it would, of course, switch back to a Monday, but we lose about 10%-15% of the crowd apparently when we run on an 'ordinary' Monday (not Bank Hols though). Also, on the 'big hitter' front, can Newcastle actually afford that type of rider on the crowds we are currently getting?

When did the chain jam? I only ask, as the bike coasted from the entry in to turn one until it came to a halt at exit turn 1/beginning of turn two, which is where Thomas left it. Also, why did team manager Dave Peet have a shouting match with Thomas when Thomas returned to his pit?

Add to that any problems with, say, the track conditions, it's always the two captains (and team managers) who are in discussion with the ref.
