A few fans were wanting an 'out and out' number 1. They have got that. The only way that that was going to happen was drop 2 riders and bring in that 'out and out' number 1 and a 3 pointer.

Lewis Rose will have a higher average than Scrammy.

In 1995 or 1996 Middlesbrough went through almost a full season using R/R (upto whatever the points limit was) as they couldn't sign anyone on that average. The programme use to read something along the lines of "R/R (upto 6.90 SR 14.1.1)" (I've made the bit in brackets up as an example).

I doubt very much if Rene will be fit to ride tomorrow. Weather wise - MetOffice.gov.uk says rain from 8 till 12/1pm then fine, so hopefully we will 'get away with it' (famous last words!).

I guess it's because he's riding for his EL club. I also guess there is a 'supplementary rule' which isn't in the rule book, covering this eventuality.
