Lewis Rose will have a higher average than Scrammy.

In 1995 or 1996 Middlesbrough went through almost a full season using R/R (upto whatever the points limit was) as they couldn't sign anyone on that average. The programme use to read something along the lines of "R/R (upto 6.90 SR 14.1.1)" (I've made the bit in brackets up as an example).

I doubt very much if Rene will be fit to ride tomorrow. Weather wise - MetOffice.gov.uk says rain from 8 till 12/1pm then fine, so hopefully we will 'get away with it' (famous last words!).

I guess it's because he's riding for his EL club. I also guess there is a 'supplementary rule' which isn't in the rule book, covering this eventuality.

Pray, tell, what was underhand about it? Whether you agree with it or not, they have dropped a rider who had lowered his average by some way and replaced him with someone they think will be better. Whether they are right, or not, only time will tell. Good luck to both riders.

No offence, but you could do what I did and Google the riders names that you are thinking of, rather than continually ask on here. If you can't find the info then ask!

Ljung rides for Rezseszow in Poland. Porsing, I believe, rides for Ostrow in Poland. (There's a theme developing here!).

Nilsson rides div 2 in Poland for Start Gniezno. That is one of the problems you are going to have, by being a Sunday race-night, a lot of the type of riders people think we need will be racing in Poland, therefore ruling them out. The only way round it would, of course, switch back to a Monday, but we lose about 10%-15% of the crowd apparently when we run on an 'ordinary' Monday (not Bank Hols though). Also, on the 'big hitter' front, can Newcastle actually afford that type of rider on the crowds we are currently getting?
