  1. The SPL in Scotland is split into two halves towards the end of the season, but it is still the team with the most points who win the League.
  2. The whole league(s) would have voted on it and the majority voted in favour of bringing them in, I would have thought.
  3. I still think it's madness doing both legs on the same day (always said it, even when we used to do it a few years ago). I did it once (not me driving, a certain ex-centre green announcer was!), when the Diamonds were at Ashfield and 'raced' back for a Gems meeting against Wimbledon and it wasn't really fun, if I'm honest. Just hope nothing happens during the first meeting, or on the journey down. I'll still be amazed if we start the second leg at 7.30pm even without hold-ups in the 1st leg.
  4. The whole point of Play-offs is extra income. If you seed the top team straight through to a final and have the next four teams in semis and a final the winners of those semis would get extra income from two home matches more than the team finishing top.
  5. Berwick must have agreed to the fixture list though, surely?
  6. Really??? Funny, as Pepe pronounces it "Frank" and I would have thought he should know.
  7. Highlights of each one. 23 Aug 6pm Latvia GP 6 Sept 6pm Gorzow GP 20 Sept 6pm Nordic GP 4 Oct 6pm Swedish GP 18 Oct 6pm Torun GP
  8. The same people who blocked Newcastle bringing in Robert Lambert?
  9. Christian Henry has been 'stood down' (to use a horse racing term) for a minimum of 28 days, so, I'm guessing, it depends on the severity of the concussion? I think that rule is to try and encourage teams to pick Brits ahead of foreigners. If you are a Brit riding in an FIM event a facility has always been allowed.
  10. Jeez. I'm sure Kyle is really happy not being able to do what he loves (riding speedway) and, not earning any money to boot.
  11. I don't know if you've noticed, but, generally speaking, crowds are poor in all three leagues.
  12. Lemo explained on his Facebook status that the rule has changed for this year. Beforehand it was just the riders, now it includes the managers (of which Lemo is the only one!), that once you have signed in at the SWC you can't ride anywhere else while still involved in the competition.
  13. If I remeber correctly, Proctor took ages to get a 'proper' average, due to call offs etc., but can't remember when he actually got one and after how many meetings.
  14. Don't think William Hill would allow it, due to the Dog track
  15. We might scrape a point for a narrow defeat. What has the track been like the last few weeks? Last time I was there it was bare as a badgers bum.
  16. He gets a 'proper' average on 1st August (9.06). His original 11.18 average is classed as a 'converted' average, rather than an 'assessed' average, apparently. I thought it happened a couple of years ago when he rode for Newcastle? Could be wrong though!
  17. http://www.redcarbears.co/july-2014-news.html
  18. I think you know exactly what I meant . How do Redcar get a facility, when I'm pretty sure in the past, no facility was made available?
  19. R/R for Lemo!!! How does that work then? http://www.redcarbears.co/july-2014-news.html
  20. R/R for someone who isn't injured (unless you know otherwise ) but managing the Aussies in Poland?
  21. R/R for Lewi K. Craig Cook for Danny King. Will Mark Lemon be riding for the Bears, or a NL guest?
  22. I am sure Laura and the Promotion are absolutely "delighted" in having to pay Sheffield's expenses (twice, as they will have to pay the expenses for the re-arranged fixture), Rent of the stadium, Ref's fees etc., etc., and having no or little income for the next home match.
