  1. Hasn't stopped Workington signing Wells and Hansen, though?
  2. Plus Sunderland Dogs is run by William Hill, so pointless switch in that respect.
  3. Only had 7 rides. He was replaced in heat 4 for touching the tapes, so that doesn't count as a ride.....
  4. Speedway teams would never break the law.........
  5. The idea of an asset base - and therefore loan fees etc - is, I believe, just a way of generating income for clubs.
  6. Lewis Rose would go to reserve and Tero into the main body, if you put Lewis R in for Christian, meaning R/R for Lewi K.
  7. That would be 51. 1968-1977 = 10 years, so it must follow 1968-2017 = 50 years
  8. And by replacing Christian, Tero would go back into the main body, and he's doing more than could have been hoped for at reserve. Seems harsh on Lewis R, but I think I'd agree and leave it as it is. As he was an injury replacement Lewis R can come back in. Had he been "dropped" he couldn't.
  9. Hansen out, new guest required. Aarnio out, Wethers in place: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100456
  10. When was the last time anyone was at a meeting with a Trainee Ref in charge? The last one I seem to remember at Brough Park is Stuart Wilson, which must be about 10 years ago now.
  11. Rule scrapped (it used to be 8 days), due to 'lack of riders' available (!)
  12. Some teams do it right, other clubs do it wrong. Berwick and Newcastle (just two examples I can think of, there will be others) send the team through to the fans after the victory parade/interviews, to sign autographs and get selfie's took.
  13. It was announced last Sunday that Richie W was guesting for us...... It's very early days, but the weather forecast for Sunday doesn't look too clever. Let's hope it's wrong.
  14. I thought Heppy had stepped down/left?
  15. A few weeks ago with Glasgow. Currently injured (collarbone). Berwick and Workington fans will be deighted by not being included!
  16. Let's (from an ousiders view) break this down: 1 - Barker was loaned to Berwick, until he got injured then Berwick took him out of the 1 - 7, so, when he signed for Peterborough, he wasnt on loan at the Bandits and therefore entitled to sign for the Panthers (or anybody else, in fact). 2 - Who "dropped" Ben barker has nothing to do with it. the Worker thing is a red herring on your part. I'd have a sick-note saying I'm off for a month (or whatever) but If I sign back off the sick before then, I can still go and work for who I like - depending on the contract. Barker isn';t employed by Berwick so is under no pressure to go back there at all. 3 - Barker may or not have misled Berwick. He was told his season was prob over and reported such to Bandits. Medical opinion can be often wrong and this one of those cases it seems to me. Nothing smells iffy.
  17. So why the crap crowds and therefore the "is it worth running next season" quote - if its that good?
