  1. I'd guess (and hope), take into account what Redcar have asked for and what Newcastle have offered and come to a fair compromise.
  2. If they keep this format in the next few years and hold it at Peterborough, will the hosts be seeded through to the Final every year?
  3. Potentially, Newcastle are 'in the same boat,' : Sun 3 Jul H Plymouth Sun 17 Jul H Reserved KOC* Sun 31 Jul H Redcar 9 Jul is SGP at Cardiff and we don't run the Sunday or Monday if we can help it and Sun 24 is the Fours.
  4. And we at Brough Park have to work around the Greyhound people!
  5. Can someone explain why... " it wasn’t possible to bring back the qualifying rounds at the moment," as stated by Rob Godfrey?
  6. 2016 Newcastle fixtures here: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/fixtures.asp Fri 22 April (Plymouth away) won't be happening (according to Plymouth FB page), so ignore! Also Sheffield away (9th June) should start at 7.30pm NOT the 7.45pm stated (Sheffield have started at 7.30pm for the last two or three seasons now).
  7. 2016 Fixtures released 9am tomorrow (21st Jan).
  8. I'm hardly trying to take the 'moral high ground' when all I'm doing is reading it in the 'Speedway Star'! You are privy to other information, which others, clearly are not.
  9. Depends what you call "on the cheap" As far as I understand it (reading it in the 'Speedway Star') Kus approached Newcastle after he'd put in the Transfer Request. That's why it should go to tribunal/arbitration.
  10. You mean they could apply to become a promoter and go through the process of being accepted (or rejected) by the BSPA.
  11. That's as maybe, but why would anyone want to keep a rider to ride for them who has handed in a transfer request and, therefore, doesn't want to ride for them? Seems daft to me.
  12. That's a laugh, where Newcastle is concerned. I can't remember the last proper Southern Tour we had. For example, every season so far (since Plymouth came into the PL), we've done Plymouth as a one-off, including when we went down there twice within a fortnight. Somerset and Rye House have become one-offs too, despite the fact we use to do those as a 'tour' together.
  13. This week 'Star' says "hopefully within the next fortnight."
  14. I'd have to check his results, but I thought he'd improved his consistency last year. He guested for us a couple of times last year and certainly did the job up at Glasgow for us. You could say that about a lot of riders.
  15. Can I ask why you don't want him? I can't see any alternatives out there, unless they know of a new 7 point foreigner.
  16. Probably go to arbitration and the fee will be set between the figure Newcastle want to pay and the figure Redcar want to receive.
  17. I think the question should be "whatever happened to the once strong EL?" seeing as most of the EL is full of PL riders.
  18. It says "NEW SIGNING: To be announced by midnight tonight! Who could it be?" Twitter now saying: "10.45pm!!"
  19. Scunny haven't enough points (6.23 left) to play with to sign Kus, unless they drop someone else.
  20. Third year running..... http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100479
  21. Something different from Newcastle Speedway. Can't remember them doing anything like this in previous years: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100478 Highlight the link on the web page and copy and paste into in to the browser bar (sorry, I thought it was a direct link to the video. It's not!!).
  22. Not necessarily. You don't attend, but still have an opinion. There has been plenty EL and PL shown on the Tele to provide a clue to the good/bad racing experience, I would have thought.
