  1. Something different from Newcastle Speedway. Can't remember them doing anything like this in previous years: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100478 Highlight the link on the web page and copy and paste into in to the browser bar (sorry, I thought it was a direct link to the video. It's not!!).
  2. Not necessarily. You don't attend, but still have an opinion. There has been plenty EL and PL shown on the Tele to provide a clue to the good/bad racing experience, I would have thought.
  3. Injured his hand on a night out shortly before the 80th Anniversary Meeting (when he was the Diamonds number 1). Never rode for us again (released).
  4. Taken from Workington Comets Facebook page: "It is with great sadness that we inform you of the sudden but peaceful passing of Keith Dixon, a huge and life long Workington Comets fan and season ticket holder A service of remembrance will take place at St. Michael's church Kirkby Thore at 3pm on Wednesday 23rd December. Everyone are very welcome to come and join Keith's family in celebrating his life We wish to pass on our condolence to Keith's family and friends. ...Once a Comet, always a Comet"
  5. Condolences to the family of Keith Dixon.
  6. I think it's £6,000. I've just claimed a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure it said £6,000.
  7. Hopefully the Comets will avoid their usual injuries that they seem to get every season, damaging any prospect of silverware and finish second behind Newcastle!
  8. It's only re-affirming what real speedway fans know already.
  9. With the "wonderful" Play-off system, that's all you need to be.
  10. Oh yeah... Swindon with all their EL stars.... Charles Wright, Josh Grajzconek, Justin Sedgmen, Stefan Nielsen and Nick Morris. Far too many PL riders are now in the EL. That's why it won't work.
  11. It was tried a few years ago (2002) and was called "the British League Cup" and lasted that one season. The Northern Group consisted of PL teams only and therefore a complete waste of time as far as we were concerned.
  12. Not according to SCB (and he knows everything )!
  13. None of the Plymouth team has been listed on there either yet.
  14. Richie confirmed.......... For Glasgow! (along with Coty Garcia and Nike Lunna).
  15. Suffered a heart attack, but is now recovering at home, thankfully.
  16. Can I just send best wishes to Ian Belcher on a speedy recovery.
  17. Scunthorpe have moved to a Sunday at 6.30pm
  18. Looks like the first match a home is against Workington (Ian Thomas Shield) on Sun 27 Mar 2016, according to the website
