It really depends where you go and when. To be honest, one of the last places you ought to be going to see loads of overtaking, is Berwick. A lot can also depend who the opposition is. Lots of teams turn up at certain tracks and are beaten before the start of heat 1, but, if the opposition are prepared to give it a go, then you can be entertained. Last weekend, for example, I saw a dreadful meeting at Berwick (Berwick v Newcastle), but saw a half decent to good meeting at Brough Park the following night between the two sides. Last night at Workington I saw another poor meeting, where I saw two overtakes all night. But, I have seen some great matches at Workington (both when Newcastle have been there and also when they haven't). Somerset is usually good value and Scunthorpe isn't too bad either. Glasgow, usually, can produce decent racing, now they've adjusted the track. I've given up on the EL (TV). I've even given up going to Cardiff for the Grand Prix. I can't comment on the NL. Perhaps a NL fan can respond.

Meeting OFF according to Workington Facebook page. According to Bears Twitter feed "Unfortunately tonights meeting is postponed. After too much rain yesterday and working all day on the track there is too much moisture." And "Rider safety is paramount and sorry for late call. New date will be announced asap."

No idea. Don't know if Tero will be there. George, in his Raceday Magazine column, just says Matej "has a national recall from the Czech Federation which means we will be using rider replacement to cover his absence."

Matej Kus won't be there for the Diamonds.

Perhaps, therein, lies the answer to your question. There are many, many more, like yourself, who have been lost to the sport, for whatever reason.

It was allowed because "it's only a Challenge match." Won't be allowed in League matches etc.

I'm sure Newcastle fans (including me), would have loved the full Newcastle team at Berwick tonight.

Meeting OFF

You couldn't make it up, could you?! Announced at Brough on Sunday that we (Newcastle) aren't at Redcar on the 14th, yet, as you state, the Redcar Facebook page (2hours ago at the time of typing this) says "To clarify the Redcar v Newcastle meeting next Thursday 14th April is still scheduled for that day. This was going to be moved but that has not happened. Please note it is still scheduled for next week".

Workington have always been scheduled to be at Redcar this Thursday (7th). Just had confirmation we are NOT at Redcar on 14th

The League Cup match on 14th April is to be re-arranged, I think, as it was definitely announced we weren't there on the 14th (the League Cup fixture).
