  1. That's home to Glasgow on BH Mon. Mike is asking about Redcar away in the LC. It's been on the Redcar website fixture list for a few days now Mike.
  2. We didn't have superiority in the first place, as far as I know (with Glasgow - not sure about Newport) because of that coin toss (as far as I'm led to believe at any rate!). But, yes, we would have lost it when we switched back to Monday's "for Bjarne" (although we did run on some Sunday's that season too).
  3. The BSPA would have blocked that move as it's not "in the interest of British speedway"......
  4. Both teams came back in the same year, 1997. Glasgow had ridden under the Scottish Monarchs moniker and were classed as a new team when they returned. We had closed down altogether, but returned that same year. We (well a certain person ) lost the toss of a coin to get seniority of Sunday's.
  5. Sadly, Liam Carr is currently out injured Sissis got 5+1 for Sheffield in July last year (Sheffield won 41-48). He beat Lewis R, Bates and Simon N in heat 2. He beat Lewis R in heat 5 for a point. He beat Christian Henry for another point in heat 6. He failed to score behind Robbo, Lewis K and Anton Rosen in heat 9 and failed to beat the two mins in heat 12 and was excluded and replaced by Josh Bates.
  6. Lee Payne was gifted a point (his only point of the night) in heat 14 earlier in the season. Can't see how he is capable of beating our second strings or Lewis R. He might be Danny P, but I'd personally question that (around Brough, at any rate).
  7. Could be R/R for Hugh Skidmore for the Bears tonight : http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100526
  8. Apparently, if it's a double up rider missing due to him riding for his double up team, you can bring in a guest. If he was out injured (and the only rider missing) R/R would apply.
  9. Probably by going to the said tracks, opening his eyes and seeing gaps on the terraces that weren't there before?
  10. I believe that is only for 'new' riders. Holub rode last year so can be dropped (I think that's how it works!!). Also, according to the Greensheets on the BSPA website, Holub has an average of 3 (which is an official average, I guess!).
  11. Wells paired with Simon Lambert (On Comets Facebook and Twitter)
  12. Are we allowed a guest or just R/R (only Stevie missing and not our number 1)? Not sure of the rule this year.
  13. Not sure about EL commitments (Summers for Leicester and Lawson for Lakeside. Leicester vs Wolves & Lakeside vs Coventry on Saturday), but Lunna is riding in the World U-21 Qual at Belle Vue. That may be the reason Glasgow not riding at Berwick??
  14. Home to Redcar Monday 23rd May at 7.30pm http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/home.asp
  15. You could, possibly, say that Holub was put into a similar position as Victor Palovaara was when he joined Glasgow. 7pt assessed average and thrown in at the deep end at No.1. Victor settled down when moved away from being a No.1 and now has a 5.28 average. Given time, Holub may well do a similar thing. The question is, do you give him that time and, if you do, at what expense?
  16. They're probably only going back to Berwick for the pies and burgers!
  17. Rob Godfrey has this to say: http://scunthorpescorpions.co/?p=5422
  18. Also, don't forget Victor is riding on borrowed equipment at the moment and, hopefully, will improve when on his own bikes.
  19. 2012. Second isn't 'winner' though.
  20. Of course. But it doesn't say when George asked for the switch to be made. It might have been in March, it might have been a couple of weeks ago. Who knows?
