  2. Which buggers Somerset's Northern Tour (they are at Workington on Sat 14th).
  3. George said on Sunday that they were trying to get someone in for Sunday, but Thursday at Redcar was too soon.
  4. Top 6. Top 2 qualify for the Semi Finals automatically. 3rd - 6th meet in two 2 leg matches. (3rd vs 6th & 4th vs 5th)' Semi Final 3rd vs 6th winners take on the 2nd place team & 4th vs 5th winners take on 1st place team. Two winners in 2 leg Final to determine PL Champs. No Tactical Rides allowed in Play-offs. Hope this helps!
  5. The houses next to the stadium might scupper any plans for speedway there, I'm afraid.
  6. As far as I see it, there is no cat or bag, in this instance.
  7. Newcastle Diamonds Facebook page lists the teams and Lewis is listed at number six.
  8. Away to Redcar in the (abandoned) Tyne Tees Trophy match. The other there was Matej Kus.
  9. Ashley Birks and Rusty Harrison both retired,
  10. Some did (or got a % of the double points), and some didn't, hence some of the discrepancy of wanting to do it. As far as the 15 metre double thingy. I once was told by a rider that he refused to do it on certain tracks, as he felt that those tracks were too dangerous to go off 15metres.
  11. Victor Palovaara and Robin Aspegren both fit. Not sure Anton is the obvious solution.
  12. According to the Updates site, they've got 'Capesy' doing the texting.
  13. Berwick tried that for a few weeks a couple of years ago and it didn't make any difference, as there was no significant increase in the crowd.
  14. I was talking to someone on Sunday who said they had got their refund. A cheque had arrived earlier in the week (I can't remember on which day they said it had arrived), so refunds are being sent out.
  15. His last average was for Edinburgh in 2010 and he finished on 6.39
  16. It really depends where you go and when. To be honest, one of the last places you ought to be going to see loads of overtaking, is Berwick. A lot can also depend who the opposition is. Lots of teams turn up at certain tracks and are beaten before the start of heat 1, but, if the opposition are prepared to give it a go, then you can be entertained. Last weekend, for example, I saw a dreadful meeting at Berwick (Berwick v Newcastle), but saw a half decent to good meeting at Brough Park the following night between the two sides. Last night at Workington I saw another poor meeting, where I saw two overtakes all night. But, I have seen some great matches at Workington (both when Newcastle have been there and also when they haven't). Somerset is usually good value and Scunthorpe isn't too bad either. Glasgow, usually, can produce decent racing, now they've adjusted the track. I've given up on the EL (TV). I've even given up going to Cardiff for the Grand Prix. I can't comment on the NL. Perhaps a NL fan can respond.
  17. Broke his left arm in two places. Copied and Pasted from Team McGurk Facebook page: Back home from hospital now, my left arm has broken in two places I can handle the pain but devastated I will miss out on this years world final in torun. But I... would like to wish all the British lads Jordan Palin Danjoe Thompson the best of luck and just give it your all boys. I would also like thank all the people at the track that helped my mum and dad Paul Bickley, Anthony Bickley, Bob Curl, Tammy Buck and anyone else who helped. Hope to see you all at trackside soon H
