  1. R/R for Steve Worrall: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/speedway/newcastle-diamonds-toughest-away-fixture-11613513#ICID=sharebar_facebook
  2. Sorry, but that is wrong on so many counts. For a start, had Josh Bailey ridden Brough Park before? Would Lewi Kerr have come back for a second season if he hated the track?
  3. He started off fine, though, it's just in recent weeks he has found points hard to come by. Last night he made a couple of good gates and went into the first turn in either first or second place, but by the start of the back straight, was at the back in one of them, but did battle well in the race he scored his point in. He's been scoring OK for Stoke in the NL recently, but, for whatever reason, hasn't been able to transfer that at PL level.
  4. Connor Mountain rides for Mildenhall, who also ride on a Sunday, so would he want to step up virtually full-time?
  5. Because, for some bizarre reason, the BSPA agreed to this rule! The way I see it is this (in my opinion, of course) and I say this regards any team effected, not just because it's Newcastle, Robert Lambert was never going to be riding last night for Newcastle. He withdrew from the meeting at Coventry through injury, not the Newcastle match, so the Diamonds should have been allowed the guest last night. On Friday at Somerset, should RL still be out injured, then it should be R/R as he is unavailable to ride for Newcastle (and all subsequent meetings for both clubs). It's like saying last night at 7.30pm.,"It's raining at Coventry, so tonight's match at Brough is postponed"!!!! It's doing the guest out of a pre-arranged (and booked in good faith) booking and therefore extra income and, more importantly, it's short-changing the fans (again). But, seeing as we were making the rules up as we went along (heat 15) last night, what do you expect?
  6. Facebook page says "Latest News Is Captain Lightning Ludvig Lindgren Will Be Able To Ride And Lead The Side Tonight."
  7. Depends what you mean by experienced. Wilko has been riding a heck of lot longer than Howarth has. Kyle started in 2009 (at least made his debut then), Wilko made his debut in 1997!
  8. Yeah, completely overlooking the FOUR rain-offs we've had, which is technically five, as one was a double-header.
  9. After all the recent call-offs, the last thing Newcastle Speedway needs is another call-off.
  10. To all those above who are replying to my initial post, that is why I said "slight" home advantage. It's got to be an advantage of even a small kind, if you ride the track every week, good pair or not. Would the same Somerset pairings have done so well away from the OTA? That can only be a matter of conjecture. Somerset fans will say "yes," others will say "no" or "maybe"!!!!! And to Willowman, there is no bitterness from me, I assure you. The same can be said of the PLRC and the Fours. This isn't me just knocking Somerset, believe me. What they are doing down there is terrific.
  11. Ludvig rated "very doubtful" for Monday http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/speedway/newcastle-diamonds-bring-glasgow-pair-11591631
  12. 2007 - Magnus Zetterström & Emil Kramer - 3rd in Group 2008 - Jason Doyle & Emil Kramer - 2nd 2009 - Steve Johnston & Emil Kramer - 2nd 2010 - Cory Gathercole & Shane Parker - 3rd 2011 - Cory Gathercole & Sam Masters - 3rd in Group 2012 - Jason Doyle & James Wright - Semi-Final 2013 - Jason Doyle & Josh Grajczonek - Winners 2014 - Olly Allen & Nick Morris - 2nd 2015 - Brady Kurtz & Josh Grajczonek - 2nd 2016 - Rohan Tungate & Josh Grajczonek - Winners Runners - up four times and twice winners in 10 contests and only failing to get out of the group twice, suggests a slight 'home track advantage' to me.
  13. Most of the riders ride in the EL as well, so someone, somewhere, will still have a 'home advantage.' Belle Vue ride at the National Stadium, so still the same situation there. Why not run it at Cardiff after the practice on the Friday night? Or would FIM/SGP/Whoever not agree to that?
  14. Fall last night: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100559
  15. That's hopefully going to happen over the winter and, indeed, steps are already being discussed.
  16. Lewis Rose replaces Ludvig Lindgren for Newcastle
  17. According to BSPA website "illness and injury." http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.30824
  18. No problem. With all the rule changes (most of which they don't tell you about!), I was unsure too, which is why I asked George English on Sunday if we were allowed a guest or not!
  19. Guest allowed (or R/R if the club wants to go that route). He's riding for his EL club, so rule is a guest is allowed.
