  1. I think it might be a case of papering over the cracks, but they have at least done something. I think it just highlights how little there is out there if you want to make changes.
  2. Newcastle September averages: Steve Worrall 8.98 Robert Lambert 8.30 Ludde Lindgren 7.37 Matej Kus 6.22 Lewis Rose 5.86 Victor Palovaara 5.49 Danny Phillips 3.00 (Team Ttl 45.22) So, Steve goes back to number one and Lewis moves in to the main body of the side, as Victor drops to reserve.
  3. Darryl Illingworth (Newcastle) used to post occasionally, but no more. Rob Godfrey (Scunthorpe and BSPA member "Moorwell") still occasionally posts.
  4. Home to Workington in the PL is confirmed for MONDAY 12th Sept (7.30pm). http://www.workingtoncomets.co/news/article.asp?id=100697
  5. Always providing that Robert remains at no.1, of course!
  6. Let's hope they are on it and they have a one-way ticket and it's going far, far away.
  7. Sundays only, doubt we would run on two consecutive nights (my opinion, just guessing). But I think there will possibly be a Monday night match (day after the PLRC).
  8. It did get watered, just not very well. The tractor that went round during breaks in between the racing had a very small blue container on it and, believe it or not, a very small amount of water was coming out the back. If they had asked the fans to go onto the track and spit on the track, it would have had more effect, I think!
  9. Keith McGhee explained over the P.A what had happened (Keith M above being correct). Not the first time this has happened at Redcar! In regards to Bjerre, I believe he was asked if he wanted to do heat 15 and he declined.
  10. No we weren't. We were at Sheffield on 9 June, at Rye House on the 11th and we didn't meet Plymouth at home until 3 July! The Sunday match on the 12th was against Workington, which was called off. The report for the Sheffield match was put on the website at 21.46 that night and the Rye House report was put on the site at 01.20 on the Sunday morning. The postponement was put on the site at 12.05 on that day. Anyway, this has sod all to do with the thread. Hoping for some away points in the push for the play-offs and a decent speedway meeting on a good track.
  11. Mainly due to the fact they are up against (in the main) PL riders in the EL, whereas the NL riders at number 7 (but for two heats - 2 and 4) are mainly up against PL heat leaders, second strings and a half decent PL reserve. I also believe it will be six man teams in 2017, so how any draft system will work, God only knows.
  12. The last nine match reports have all been put onto the website on the night the match occurred. I could go back further if you want.
  13. Teams (taken from Redcar website): Redcar Bears: David Bellego, Tobias Busch, Hugh Skidmore, Jonas B Andersen, Lasse Bjerre, Jye Etheridge, Lee Payne Newcastle Diamonds: Robert Lambert, r/r for Victor Palovaara, Matej Kus, Stuart Robson (guest), Steve Worrall, Lewis Rose, Danny Phillips. What a load of rubbish. Previews are are on there on the day of the match (sometimes a day before) and there is a report on there either later that night or the day after a match. The reason there is no preview on the site for tomorrow's match at Redcar could be because Jeff King is currently on a couple of days holiday/break, but perhaps a preview will be on there tomorrow.
  14. Newcastle have first call on them as the K Lynn fixture is a re-arranged match.
