DP should start on a 2.00 (if I've read it correctly) as he didn't achieve the minimum 3.00 point ave.
-
That was because Ian Thomas ran both clubs.
-
The PL format of 2016 is to be used in both league in 2017.

How about geography? Let's say Glasgow win the play-off and are promoted. Their 'local derby' would be against....... Belle Vue or one of the Midlands teams
-
Teams who can afford to pay, will pay (IF indeed they want 'mega-bucks'). It will only help the 'likes of Workington' when that team visits Derwent Park and a few extra people go along to watch riders who they think might be exciting to watch and/or because they haven't seen them in the PL/Championship for a while

The two northern groups only had 3 teams in them, so that's 'only' 4 matches!

So, after a few teams struggled (and in a few cases failed) to get in 24 League matches in to what was the Premier League, before the cut-of date for the Play-offs, they are hoping to fit in 36 matches in 2017. They've changed the name of the top two divisions (we await what the NL will be called). Everyone will have one average (but haven't explained, once the season starts how the averages will be worked out, presumably this will follow). They've brought back promotion/relegation (that didn't work the last they tried it). And that's 'a major revamp.' I'm sure (as always) more will follow, but I don't see how that is all going to get the fans flooding (back) through the turnstiles.

Berwick 2017 50th Year

They have asked (at the AGM) to be able to run on Saturday night. Doesn't mean to say that they will. -
Berwick 2017 50th Year

Totally agree, but I wouldn't hold your breath. -
I may have misread what you mean, but Brian H is 74 (born 9 May 1942).

Not being funny, or anything, but surely that is a contradiction? I really hope "my second team" sort everything out and come to the tapes in 2017 and for many seasons beyond.

Better than Kenny Carter?

They obviously don't go to Berwick (as an example) very often. it's ours as well of course. IF it HAD to be run next Sunday, then so be it. But, thankfully, it didn't come to that (although we might be wishing it had!). You are quite right in praising Glasgow. They did what they had to do. Let Stevie and Robert go and make sure they filled the 2nd and 3rd spots as often as possible for 3-3's. As far as "no to Victor and yes to Tero," the points difference in the averages is Victor on 5.80 and Tero on 6.24, but there are quite a few difficult decisions to be made for the 1-7 in 2017, not just that one!

They had to be careful where they put the stand, due to the referee's box, I'd guess?

A bit like the Young Shield we had a few years ago then (apart from the weekend bit!)? It is rather ironic that the only reason Play-offs were brought in to the PL in the first place was that SKY said they would show the Final LIVE, then changed their minds. Despite the fact SKY show a few meetings through the season, they have no interest, it seems, in showing the 'important' PL stuff!!

I would back any of our (Newcastle's) top 6 against Sissis at Brough Park everytime. I'd even say I'd back our top 6 at Ashfield, as well. If Garcia (and best wishes on his recovery, by the way) does need replacing, there are very few options that Glasgow can bring in on the Sunday for this leg. Tom Perry, Max Clegg, Richard Hall, Zdenek Holub, Daniel Halsey, Ellis Perks, Lee Payne, Ben Morley, Josh Bailey, Arthur Sissis, Nathan Greaves and Matt Williamson are the choices available. Of those 12, I'd say only two or three would be a decent choice.

Rob Branford has improved no end in the last couple of seasons IMO. I think he will only get better, but certainly won't get any worse and he'll only be 23 come the start of 2017. Roynon doesn't have a particular liking for Brough Park, so I wouldn't go anywhere near him.
