But when do you say "he's developed" - there has to be a point at sometime when you say "he's too good for a "Development" league." IF the NDL was the same as before, then yes the likes of Max, Adam Roynon, Lee Complin etc., etc., should/could be involved, but, for me, they are all beyond the "developing" stage and shouldn't be anywhere near the NDL in it's current form.

You can't win if you don't gamble. They obviously think it will work (otherwise, why bother?). All we can do is wait and see how it all pans out. As I've said before, I wish them all the very best for the coming season (see where I was born! When Newcastle were running, Workington became my "second" team!)
-
Really? Workington only have 13.48 points left for the two remaining riders. Pedersen would come in on 13+
-
That would put Celina L into the main body of the team, which would be a huge gamble, if you ask me.
-
The last time I spoke to Tony (a couple of years ago) there is no chance he will be back. Of course, he could have had a mind change, but, I doubt it.

Let's be totally honest here, the signing of Celina Leibmann is a win/win for Workington. The publicity for the signing is going to be pretty big (within speedway circles, certainly and, maybe even in a broader sense if some of the National papers and TV pick up on it, which they could well do) and IF she is a success even better for Workington. IF she "flops", then another 4pointer (or even 2pointer) shouldn't be too difficult to find and in the grand scheme of things Workington haven't really lost out on anything. I really do wish her and Workington all the best and hope they are a big success in 2024 and beyond.

Oh, the irony!!!!!

After doing a bit of "digging" The Speedway Updates site said this at the time: "Auty TR. Auty excluded. Ingalls made the gate with Auty chasing hard, Bach passed Auty and Ingalls down the backstraight, Auty had no were to go and knocked Ingalls off. Just to put you all in the Picture Ingalls is going to Hospital. All the best Kenny."

For those of us with poor memories, please explain.

My mistake, you are correct.
-
Probably.

Matty was injured weeks before Newcastle closed down and would have been lumbered with that average anyway, whether Newcastle had closed down or not.
-
Maybe he's been signed to "do a Manu Hauzinger"??? LOL
-
Agree. I used to love interviewing Kake for the GRT Media DVD's, his smile made you want to smile! Used to talk a lot of sense, unlike some who hardly gave you a proper answer to the question (used to try and avoid those!).

I thought that was Paul Newman and Robert Redford?......

Don't forget Tero Aarnio !!

I believe a knackered shoulder stops his return from happening

Oh, the irony.... !!!

What would have happened (to the Comets) if the promotion had refused to go in the Championship, especially when we know that there is now an NDL in 2024? And, was there any compensation given to them for the extra costs incurred from moving up before they really wanted to?
-
Yep: SCOTTISH GROUP: Berwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow NORTHERN GROUP: Redcar, Scunthorpe, Workington SOUTHERN GROUP: Oxford, Plymouth, Poole

You're not the only one!
