I think it was always going to be difficult for Liam Carr at No.2. It will be interesting to see if they were to make any changes.
On tonight's meeting, I thought it was a little strange of Gary H putting Berge out on a tactical in heat 7. He hadn't done anything in his previous outing and he was up against Stevie W.
The Diamonds did what they had to do. There will be much harder meetings at home as the season goes on.
A lot might depend on how often our 1-7 will take to the track together, though, a bit like last season.
I have have to admit I haven't looked at any possible fixture clashes (something I've been meaning to do for a week or so!), but hopefully, they will be at a minimum in 2017.
Just to add the times for Sunday's practice is 1pm and the P&P (which will, again, include the Northern Speedway Launch with riders/officials from Berwick, Redcar and Workington) on Monday now gets underway at 11am (rather than 12 noon as originally planned).
The Hackney Hawks name was revived in 2011 in the National League as a joint promotion between the promotions at Lakeside and Rye House with the Hawks home matches being divided between the two parent tracks
What do you want him to do? Deliver the mag personally?
Once the mag has left the printers/office, it's in Royal Mail's hands, which, to me, makes it an issue (no pun intended) to take up with Royal Mail (always providing it's been sent by Pinegen, of course).
That would be 2012 (unless it was with the Cubs you saw him ride in 2008). He replaced Michal Rajkowski (it was a double change as Kev Doolan also came in, replacing Justin Sedgmen) in the August of that year.
It was also a BBC radio comedy (1940's, so Tsunami will remember it ) with Jimmy Jewel and Ben Warriss. The premise of Up the Pole was that Jewel and Warriss were the proprietors of an Arctic trading post. Each episode included a musical interlude, sometimes including a young Julie Andrews.
I see Danny Phillips has been named the Young King's Lynn Stars skipper for the coming season. Let's hope the extra responsibility at Lynn will help him in the Championship at Newcastle.
I think SiS is part owned by William Hill (and Labrokes, among others), so don't what difference it will make.
