Newcastle V Ipswich 9th July 2017 Championship

Nathan Greaves is back in the Ipswich line-up at 6. -
Perhaps they thought that he might have improved, more than he actually has? Or a whole host of other reasons, but, as mentioned, they listened to the fans and made a change.

Sounds as if I didn't miss much last night. Still I would have prefered to be there than stuck in here! I think it's the first home meeting I've missed in 15 years (Trelawny KOC in 2002). Hope it's another 15 before I have to miss another one, poor meeting or not! As they say " You can only beat what's behind you," and it's not really Berwick's fault the team they put out last night. But it's happening far too often and all its doing is ripping off the fans. But, it seems, no-one high up seems to care.

I'm no expert, by any stretch of the imagination, but, if he's riding a different make of engine this year, will that not mean the set up has to be different?

At least he didn't "retire," only to replace himself a few days/weeks later! -

According to Twitter he's riding on Sunday.... https://twitter.com/diamondspeedway/status/877253204362350592

Don't encourage him, man!!!

I see Ben Hopwood will (as from 22/6) have a new 2.44 average, meaning that he will go to number 6 and Dan Greenwood to number 7 for our matches against Workington on Sunday.

Coles Out Now For Captain Fantastic

I think Ludvig, is what he is now, a 7 point(ish) rider. Hasn't really improved for a few seasons. If you want a reliable 7 point man, Ludvig is your man, if you want a rider who's going to improve to an 8/9 point rider, I don't think Ludde is your man. -
Not what I've heard. They've gone with a couple of Under-21 riders as reserves (I can't remember who they are!!! I'm sure someone will know!!).

He wasn't off the pace in heat 14 (rather frustratingly!)! -

Really? Jason Lyons joined mid-season, for a start. The team put together at the beginning was totally ripped apart by the BSPA getting their sums wrong and we weren't allowed to use Matej Ferjan. But, typically, we were told this just as all the decent riders who could have replaced him had all got team places, so were 'lumbered' with Mario Jirout (on a grossly inflated 9.00 ave) and also replaced Kenny Olsson with (the Aussie) Scott Smith. And at the start of the 2004 campaign we rode 14 Prem Trophy matches and won just the one. So 2017 is hardly "running parallel to 2004."
