All this just highlights the reason I have a certain "rat" on ignore. Trouble is, I still have to see the rubbish he posts 'cos people still quote the idiot. Please STOP quoting him, all your doing is feeding him. It's what he wants. If everyone ignores him he will eventually go away - unless the Mods ban him permanently of course.

That'll be the same Ipswich that, after the Promotion/Relegation Play-off with Newcastle in 2010, decided to drop down to the second-tier? Same promoter who has now decided to sell as he is disillusioned with the Premiership in 2025/6?

Any signings have to be ratified and approved by the BSPL don't they? Or has that ruling changed? That being the case, they must know what is happening in 2026, but, as usual, the fans are being played to as fools.

Perhaps the Tyne/Tees Trophy next year can be run as a Memorial meeting for Brian, considering his involvement with both clubs? Just a thought. R.I.P Brian.

I guess being recognised by someone, is better than not being recognised at all. Any publicity, no matter how small, is fairly important these days I'd say (not getting at anyone, just saying!!).
-
Surely it should be the end of season figures we should be looking at? Seven out of the nine CL teams ended with a total average above the 40 limit, so starting next season on 40 means it is weaker?
-
You missed out Tobias Thomsen.... You'd only need another three and you could re-name them Thompson Tigers, or something similar !! 🤣

Remember the Brit reduction...... https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/c25_issue_27b.pdf

Glasgow Facebook page: 𝗪𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟭-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 Everyone at Glasgow Speedway is deeply saddened with the passing of our wonderful superfan Wullie Mitchell. His incredible passion for the Tigers made him a huge and popular personality at the club. Wullie will be sorely missed by all. Our condolences to son Cameron and family.

Danny King in this weeks Speedway Star says he's "happy with two teams & two Leagues in the UK"
-
He did, but it didn't last long! He made his debut for the Diamonds way back in 1991, going on to make 381 appearances scoring 2207pts + 363 Bonus Points for an average of 5.77 (1782 rides).

As you say, "there won't be" as Oxford are in there twice & Birmingham have gone, even IF Northampton come to the tapes in 2026, it is still only 15, which gives 28 league meetings + any Cup or "BSN" series matches. I can't be bothered to look at how many riders rode in both Prem & Champ in 2025, but I'd guess +/-40% or so? The only way you are gong to fill the "empty" places is with NDL riders and most of the top riders in the NDL are already in the Champ and some are even in the Prem!! Which leaves the second strings and reserves, most of whom aren't ready for Champ racing. One League might seem the "obvious way to go", but the "knock-on effect" is far more reaching as far as the overall product is concerned IMO. EDIT: A quick look at the final 1-7's in the Prem, I make it 27 riders who doubled up in the 49 team places (hope I've got that right!!).

Yeah, the promoter at the time failed to pay the riders and, if I remember correctly, did a runner !!

When Newcastle were still running in 2022, during one of our last ever home meetings, the opposition Manager said that one rider over an 8pt average per team would be fairer to the likes of Newcastle as he actually felt sorry for us. His team had two over the 8pt average in the team at the time.

So... you are not anti Antti, then?? LOL
-
Didn't stop Klindt from signing !!
-
Does that mean he is (technically) withholding his services? The season doesn't officially end until 31st October and he's booked his flights before that date? What are the rules regarding this situation?
-
Just "this season"??
