IMO it's how it should and indeed used to be. Top riders in the Champ at reserve in the top league (or at the very most, second strings). But, sadly, those days are long gone.

Could be. Maybe I can..... Could be.

17. Born 30 March 2007.

He had one in August 2016.

Most, if not all, ideas will have been suggested pre-meeting. Day two will be mainly just "dotting the i's and crossing the t's".
-
They could always be "novel" and switch the pairings between home meetings and away meetings. But, for some strange reason, teams don't seem to do that and just keep the same 1-7 in their riding positions home and away.

Probably more likely to be Keith McGhie, he's certainly been the Redcar SS "correspondent" in the past.
-
Barker, J Thompson, Gilkes and Bowtell will all have a reduction on those figures quoted.

Berwick ‘buy a brick’ Bandits 2025
StevePark replied to emilali's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Let's not forget, though, that Redcar were a Thursday track (even going back to the Cleveland Park days), but had to move off a Thursday when the Prem Lge took that day off them. Since then, Glasgow have moved their racenight to a Friday as well and they can race pretty much when they want, so why can't they move their racenight to a Saturday or a Sunday? What all this adds up to is clubs are unwilling to go 2H & 2A, simply because it means moving racenight if they are a Friday club. -

Perhaps they thought many would be away on holiday, so decided not to run on those dates? -
Just imagine, Barker and Batchelor in the same team!! 😲
-
6 man teams?
-
He must be the new number 1 then......... 😁
-
Oxford in there twice remember so it's only 15 (at the moment).

Hasn't that always been the case though? Promoters saying "we've listened to the fans....." changed one little thing and ignored all the bigger issues. Same year after year. -
You must be Talking "top flight," as in 1978 Newcastle ("second Tier") were charging Adults £1.00 Children 55p.
-
How many riders are Glasgow signing for 2025? It seems that Uncle Tom Cobley and all are rumoured to be signing for them!! They can only (initially) sign 7 (always presuming it's 7 man teams, of course!!).
-
He's unlikely to say " I want to join Poole" is he? If he was at Edinburgh (or anywhere else), he'd probably say "I want to join Edinburgh (or wherever he is)". I remember a few years back when they interviewed a very young Kyle Bickley (I think he'd be about 14 at the time) on the centre green at Redcar and he was adamant he wanted to join them when he was old enough.

Can fans afford it though?? 20 meetings at £20 a meeting = £400 -
We can all make mistakes. That is why you can buy Tipp-ex and pencils which come with little erasers on the end of them. 7.48 - 2.5% = 7.29. Also the 2.5% might change at the next AGM - who knows??
-
7.48 (less Brit reduction) = 7.09 (providing it's a 5% reduction!)
-
It's very rarely warm at Berwick though!! 😜 😆 It it's 1H & 1A again start the season in mid-late April and try to run every 2/3 weeks, job done.
-
That isn't strictly true either, though, is it? The "powers that be" in World Speedway have decreed a "pecking order of importance", with the UK way down that list. Riders have to abide to that. Although it's true to say the riders will be aware which team is higher on the list when they sign for other countries teams.

Surely, the riders are "the show"??
