Billingham about 10 miles from Redcar

That's a good question. What IS he actually doing/done so far?
-
Hasn't stopped Jack Smith getting a "gig" year on year, has it?
-
Having said that though, they'll have Josh Pickering and he is worth watching, wherever he rides.

I thought the final decision rested with the Speedway Control Bureau ??
-
Probably not, until the fixtures are announced.

SGB Championship 2026 Confirmed Signings
StevePark replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I am led to believe you can forget Steve Worrall. -
I remember a few years ago, being told that Len Silver, the then promoter at Rye House, paid all seven riders the same amount per point, whether they were a number one or a number seven or anything in between. This came directly from a rider and his dad. Whether there were add-ons to that, I don't know. There quite possibly was (sponsorship etc).

Cobblers...... 🤣
-
Agreed, sort of. But the costs to that rider (for example engine tuning/repair) may also be an influence, so you could just as easily blame them, rather than putting it all directly at the riders door??
-
So, despite fans saying "the sport is dying, something has to be done" and "we want more fixtures", it's the same old same old. Promoters don't seem to want to listen and are, basically saying "all is well with the sport". Head in the sand continues from them. Some teams will finish their fixtures in July/early August and some will struggle to get their fixtures in by the end of October. It's pathetic.

I think he built the tracks (greyhound & speedway), did he not? RIP Cliff

What about a Premiership rider on a converted average?
-
All this just highlights the reason I have a certain "rat" on ignore. Trouble is, I still have to see the rubbish he posts 'cos people still quote the idiot. Please STOP quoting him, all your doing is feeding him. It's what he wants. If everyone ignores him he will eventually go away - unless the Mods ban him permanently of course.
-
That'll be the same Ipswich that, after the Promotion/Relegation Play-off with Newcastle in 2010, decided to drop down to the second-tier? Same promoter who has now decided to sell as he is disillusioned with the Premiership in 2025/6?
-
Any signings have to be ratified and approved by the BSPL don't they? Or has that ruling changed? That being the case, they must know what is happening in 2026, but, as usual, the fans are being played to as fools.
-
Perhaps the Tyne/Tees Trophy next year can be run as a Memorial meeting for Brian, considering his involvement with both clubs? Just a thought. R.I.P Brian.

I guess being recognised by someone, is better than not being recognised at all. Any publicity, no matter how small, is fairly important these days I'd say (not getting at anyone, just saying!!).
-
Surely it should be the end of season figures we should be looking at? Seven out of the nine CL teams ended with a total average above the 40 limit, so starting next season on 40 means it is weaker?
-
You missed out Tobias Thomsen.... You'd only need another three and you could re-name them Thompson Tigers, or something similar !! 🤣
