Wolves V Coventry Monday 30th March
Midland Red replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Now that there's the injured rider replacement facility, it becomes even more important to start off with seven riders and not six Haven't quite worked out this comment! If you mean they love me for spending my hard-earned cash on speedway since 1964, at tracks all over the country, then that I would understand, but if you mean something different . . . . ? -

What a lad of tosh! Of course it makes sense to track 7 riders rather than 6 - sadly, injuries are part and parcel of the sport [it is a contact sport, you know - Muddlo told us] so the more available on the night, the better Of course it makes sense to postpone as early as possible, knowing what weather is forecast [and the bad weather which is forecast has been mentioned much earlier in this thread] - it saves fans, riders, staff, etc unnecessary travel; helps with things like catering; late postponements are oft criticised Of course Poole MIGHT win the league, depending on the rules and regulations!!!! -

Apart from being pleased that Chris Harris won the meeting, the highlight for me is a return to a proper format of 20 heats, every rider meeting every other rider, and the top scorer being the winner It sounds so good to hear that Bomber won the meeting with 14 points from his five rides None of this semi-final and final rubbish, where a meeting is won by winning one particular heat I do so despise the 'new' way of arriving at the winner of an individual meeting that seems the norm these days The top scorer should ALWAYS be the winner!!!

Doubling up with Slough, too

Thanks for that, Chris Hope that you and Bees could resolve differences and you could still operate in 2015 We really don't want to be left with Peter York

Whilst on the subject, what is the version of Flight of the Bumblebee now played at Brandon instead of the Harry James version which used to be played?

Really? I've been watching professional league soccer since the mid-50s and never heard the National Anthem played onceAre you saying the the Barclays Premier League matches, for example, are NOT serious sporting events?

Your use of the phrase "I believe . . " shows you have no factual knowledge - therefore any related comments (about the city of Liverpool) can be disregarded Stick to facts, not preconceptions I don't need to Google - I've lived and worked there and continually revisit, so I know about the city, the people, the football clubs Back on topic, I hope Darcy Ward receives a suitable punishment for his misdemeanour, and then returns to the track to thrill all fans - and the Muddlo is brought to book for his rantings

The "place in general"? - please explain!

If I put 2 and 2 together correctly, that is a most repugnant comment directed towards the victims of the Hillsborough Disaster of 1989, and their families and friends If you have one single ounce of decency in your body, perhaps you will use it to withdraw the implication you have so sadly made

Even if Muddlo was there, he probably wouldn't know!

Greg Hancock How Good.?
Midland Red replied to stratton's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
OK, OK! Olsen was a very good rider, but he didn't make my 10 best riders list - not because I never took to him, but because I rated the others above him - Briggo is in my list although I didn't like him either If it was a favourites list, then there would be other riders in my top 10 When I said, not in my Bees top ten, yes, that was a favourites list, and you can see I'm not alone in that thinking - a best Bees list would obviously include Olsen - and Hancock! -
