Warsaw Gp Saturday 18th April
Midland Red replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Ole Olsen, according to this - "The agreement required the company Speed Sport obligation to build the track, ensure efficient appliances whole track equipment in accordance with applicable regulations of the FIM, including the starting gate and the dismantling of the track and its facilities after the race." -

There's a vast difference between you sitting in your armchair and the track LOOKING dangerous, and the track actually BEING dangerous as considered by those who are riding on it Why does speedway have to compete with other major events? Surely the aim should be to provide the best possible speedway racing for existing followers, to a standard which will then bring the next generation of fans to the sport It's the proper speedway racing that should do it, presented well on well-prepared and established racetracks, and not short-track sand racing in indoor amphitheatres -
Amazingly courageous! Brilliant to see, yet so, so sad

How do you know the track was not too (spelling) dangerous? I repeat " . . . whether sat in the armchair in front of tv or up in the stands at the stadium, what it looks like to you - to me, to everyone else - is totally immaterial in deciding whether it is safe to continue" -

Sorry, but that counts for nothing - whether sat in the armchair in front of tv or up in the stands at the stadium, what it looks like to you - to me, to everyone else - is totally immaterial in deciding whether it is safe to continue -

Why? It doesn't matter if it's today's Storm NL Challenge Match or a GP - if there is a question of rider safety, as per the FIM Jury last night, then the meeting should not be allowed to continue -

Starting gates do fail - that's a given, seen it many times over the years But track surface - that's much more serious, and if I recall an earlier post on this thread, there's one,and only one, person responsible for track preparation - and its failure - and that is Ole Bl@@dy Olsen And the one he built for himself - Vojens - isn't particularly brilliant The rest of the blame goes to the greedy b@st@rds who insist in laying Micky Mouse tracks inside some wonderful stadia, instead of using real speedway tracks, albeit in lesser quality surroundings -

Now that there's the injured rider replacement facility, it becomes even more important to start off with seven riders and not six Haven't quite worked out this comment! If you mean they love me for spending my hard-earned cash on speedway since 1964, at tracks all over the country, then that I would understand, but if you mean something different . . . . ? -

What a lad of tosh! Of course it makes sense to track 7 riders rather than 6 - sadly, injuries are part and parcel of the sport [it is a contact sport, you know - Muddlo told us] so the more available on the night, the better Of course it makes sense to postpone as early as possible, knowing what weather is forecast [and the bad weather which is forecast has been mentioned much earlier in this thread] - it saves fans, riders, staff, etc unnecessary travel; helps with things like catering; late postponements are oft criticised Of course Poole MIGHT win the league, depending on the rules and regulations!!!! -
Oh no they're not!

Your use of the phrase "I believe . . " shows you have no factual knowledge - therefore any related comments (about the city of Liverpool) can be disregarded Stick to facts, not preconceptions I don't need to Google - I've lived and worked there and continually revisit, so I know about the city, the people, the football clubs Back on topic, I hope Darcy Ward receives a suitable punishment for his misdemeanour, and then returns to the track to thrill all fans - and the Muddlo is brought to book for his rantings

The "place in general"? - please explain!

If I put 2 and 2 together correctly, that is a most repugnant comment directed towards the victims of the Hillsborough Disaster of 1989, and their families and friends If you have one single ounce of decency in your body, perhaps you will use it to withdraw the implication you have so sadly made
