For the houses currently under construction, is there a Marketing Suite/Show Home? If there is, surely they will have an up-to-date site plan? Any locals fancy having a look over the weekend to find out? Must be worth a shot!

Then why are you in "Years gone by" - trying to be a troll?
-
Another intelligent contribution from Mr Shoveller
-
Sounds fishy to me
-
I can't believe you could be SO negative about efforts to revive a dormant speedway venue
-
You mean there won't be any Sir Shoutalot this year???
-
Let's not bother with trying to get speedway back to Oxford - the miserable old git doesn't think it's worth it Bulldoze it and make him 'appy

No, nothing wrong with that at all It's just that, to me, a speedway race in a challenge match is no different from a speedway race in a league or cup match It's speedway - don't you want to watch speedway when it's available, when the riders are racing? At the end of the day, the title of the meeting is fairly irrelevant if you are a fan of the sport If you just want to tag on to a particular team, when they're approaching or in the play-offs, fair enough As I've said before, we used to turn up every Saturday at Brandon (1st Saturday of the month excepted) to watch the speedway, irrespective of what the meeting was - and in midweek for Midland Cup matches etc I worked in Birmingham for a time, so I also went to Perry Barr on a Monday night straight from the office And living halfway between Coventry and Leicester, I rarely missed a meeting a Blackbird Road for many a year And it didn't matter what the meetings were - it was live speedway! It's always been the sport that's the attraction - yes, you like to see your favourite rider or team do well, but it was always the thrill of the sport that was the attraction - still is Doesn't pay for us all to be the same!
-
Can you explain why, please? It's still speedway racing, riders endeavouring to be first to the chequered flag, as part of one seven man line-up against another Whether it's a challenge match, a league match, a cup match, or whatever - it's still a speedway meeting, so why no interest?
-
I cannot believe that anyone takes out a subscription for Sky or BT or whoever purely to watch speedway - which is what seems to come across when tv is mentioned on this forum There is so much more to view that, whilst the monthly fee may on the face of it look hefty, the variety of sports and entertainment available for that sum makes it well worthwhile, particularly when one considers some of the ticket prices for sporting events Perhaps if league speedway disappeared from the screens, people might get out to their local track more often and pay at the turnstile to see this great sport

And for those of us whose first language is English?
-
Why's that? He's provided speedway at Rugby Road for the last few years, and intended to (and wanted to) do so for at least another three years He is not to blame for the rug (or stadium in this case) being pulled from under him, meaning he couldn't continue I can't see any blame attaching to Mr Horton for Bees not appearing in 2017
-
No he didn't

Very pleased indeed that Belle Vue Aces will be up and running again Now, will Mr Rising, just once and for all, admit on here that the problems on 3 and 4 WERE KNOWN well before the day of the GOM Come on, just admit it
-
Shovelling again, Steve Shoveller - why not clear off back to the Poole thread . . . . oh, this IS the Poole thread So, you shovel on here as well as other teams' threads, do you? It's what you do!
-
And it's "here" not "hear"

One question which might be put to him is to explain the following in the section on the website regarding half season tickets: Due to the uncertainty over how many meetings will be staged at VARIOUS VENUES, the club have taken the decision to offer a Half Season Ticket to cover the first eight Premiership ‘home’ fixtures . . . What does "various venues" mean? It could be construed as being MORE THAN JUST Leicester and Brandon! Will Bees need to seek another venue as well as Leicester if Brandon is not available?

And his father Harry before him

Sorry, NS, but what speedway fans care about is THE LACK OF investigating journalism
