What a sad, selfish attitude - do you not care about the bigger picture, the future, if there is one, of what used to be the most wonderful sport?

Grass Track Activity

They weren't - they were watering for days prior to yesterday And having checked the weather forecast regularly, I can say that the BBC were forecasting showers for Sunday as late as Saturday morning! -

Must admit I left at 2.50pm, having been there since before 10.00am It had got to the stage where riders disappeared into a cloud of dust which had not totally cleared when they came round again Taking photographs proved eventually to be a fruitless exercise, the leader on lap one the only possible image to be had Final straw for me was, immediately after the fourth or fifth watering, the sidecars came out and it became clear that the water sprayer had made no difference whatsoever Can't blame the organisers for the weather - it really was hot yesterday - but, yes, there were delays to the programme early on which set everything back, and information was not always forthcoming Feel sorry for the organisers who put in a massive effort to stage this event, and they will be as disappointed as all the riders and spectators at the outcome There is always the chance of something going wrong in a programme of 40+ races, on a circuit far bigger than a speedway track - plus the insurance requirement of practice time for each and every rider Very sad at how things panned out yesterday -

Not me that's ignorant - you sir.Don't know what the first word is in your language, but in English, the second word is OFF Nowhere did I say Poland, and not FIM, banned Laguta - just read it, or get a proper translation The Polish speedway authorities have produced a drugs result, the timing of which seems somewhat strange, following Russia's impressive qualification at Vastervik and Australia's less than impressive performance at Kings Lynn Maybe, just maybe, someone Polish was worried that Russia just might come good in the final if they qualified That's all I'm saying - I think Rob McC agrees with me -
Speedway World Cup 2017
Midland Red replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I find it somewhat strange that, shortly before the race-off, a Russian rider was barred from riding as a result of a decision taken by the Polish speedway authorities So, a leading rider in an opposing team is made to withdraw -

It was bad enough with Team GB all the time - now Scott Nicholls is coming out with Team Australia, Team Denmark . . . The jackets they wear state "Great Britain Speedway Team" FFS - enough! -
