  1. Don't be fooled into thinking Nicki couldn't have upped his game if he needed to. He played the long game this year, but was capable of more.
  2. No, but here's a quote from Subedei tonight, which I'm sure he won't mind me posting: "The beggar is back." (Wondering if jaybea will see the funny side. )
  3. So Scott is officially out of the top 8, despite trying hard tonight. Will he get a nomination?
  4. He's equalled Gundersen and Olsen's three. One more and he'd tie with Hans Nielsen to being the best Dane ever, based on world titles.
  5. iris is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, and he knows his stuff.
  6. Iris123 is a bit busy at the moment taking the mickey out of me so for anyone who didn't watch the updates, Olching won the Bundesliga.
  7. And Emil. But don't forget they have 8 men in a team. The Swedish league is run much better than ours, but you know that, and you're just winding me up.
  8. He didn't. They have squads - Leigh Adams and Ryan Sullivan were riding the night the title was sewn up. But he's still contributed to their season, and still deserves the accolade.
  9. And Danish Champion. Edit: oh and that anniversary thingy at Poole, if that counts.
  10. Not meant to be an insult at all, Norbold. I'm just saying you know far more than I do about the Labour party to be able to make an accurate judgement about their "character". Without intending any disrespect, I'm sure you get my meaning.
  11. Not surprised, if what is reported about him being the rider who's owed the most money by Masarna is true.
  12. Lejonen in Sweden and Mega Lada Togliatti in Russia both won their respective leagues tonight, effectively giving Nicki two league titles in one night. Who says he's not a team man? Just the World Championship to go.
  13. Coming from someone who thinks he can defend the Labour party, I'll take that as a compliment. And I voted Labour.
  14. Crikey, if Gollob's at the bottom of the food chain, where does that leave Nicholls, who steamed through the tapes just because Gollob twitched slightly?
  15. Yes, I did think it was harsh that Gollob was excluded. That's not to say I necessarily think Crump should have been excluded, but the rules being the rules someone had to go. But, I made my point and then had a joke about it and haven't posted since. To put me in with a list of people who you appear to think this of offends me a little, but I still stick by my views.
  16. QUOTE (Rob B @ Sep 27 2008, 10:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Crump was about 3 quarters of a bike length ahead of Pedersen up the inside, Pedersen knew he was passed and leant on him and was going down before they had got to the bend to try and get Crump excluded like he did earlier in the season. Gollob was about half a bike length behind on the inside of Crump and took his leg entering the bend. I prefer Mateusz's explanation.
  17. How was the Crump/Gollob incident different to the Pedersen/Crump incident?
  18. QUOTE (Rob B @ Sep 27 2008, 10:17 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At last a referee who didn't fall for Pedersen antics leaning on a rider and falling off if anyone tries to pass him up the inside. Don't know how he could compare that one with the Crump/Gollob one which was totally different. Don't know why Gollob had to do that, he had the final place in the bag, more like the Gollob of 1995 that. Unbelieveable that Crump had the engine failure with the win in the bag, Pedersen will be a lot more relieved now. Your opinions are nothing to do with the team you support, of course?
