I know its a different era but John Louis didnt start till he was 28 as far as i know and had a good career. Age dont come into it IMO ability and attitude and a hunger to achieve bring far more to the table. Thats why we need recently retired riders involved they know the idiosyncrasies of tbe sport. Speedway is like the magic circle its full of those who know the tricks and those who are trying to fathom them out but have to work them out themselves. Edit due to beer influenced person using smartphone

The one thing the USA have always had in abundance is team spirit, the senior riders go out of their way to help the less experienced, very much an all for one and one for all policy. But i think thats just not a speedway thing i think its an American ideology, you have to be PROUD to be an American and when it comes to patriotism they knock us into a cocked hat.

Swc 2014 - Any Idea Where?
Triple.H. replied to krompa's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Berwick Though if BSI were serious about spreading the word have all 4 rounds in a decent stadium with a temporary track in Spain with dirt cheap tickets to attract the locals or any other European country with little/no speedway heritage. -

Who Should Be In Gb World Cup Team?
Triple.H. replied to bri1966's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Didnt someone post that for the 1st 2 rounds teams had to be announced 2 weeks before and couldnt be changed unless due to injury.Does this mean the Laguta brothers will get bans for refusing to ride. Also today i only fliced through the star and the Poles haven't decided on the 4th rider though that could be for the next round due to my poor speedreading. Why no reserves if you get a rider injured and unable to continue unless you are very lucky you aint going to win. Worst case scenario heat 1 in the final a couple of reruns due to crashes all 4 riders are injured and unable to continue it could end up a very long night as i'm sure FIM rules state a race cannot be awarded. -
They say its like falling off a cliff. Sorry i couldnt resist it

I know he isnt eligible for NL as average too high but to let him ride a few meetings for a struggling team to gain some confidence as its unlikely to turn Kent or Stoke into champions elect.Thats what i meant about the best interests of the sport/rider.Maybe let him guest at PL level for riders with a slightly lower average.I know it would cause uproar amongst the BSPA but sometimes you have to think outside the box Adam Roynon has come bloody close due mostly to bad luck of paying the ultimate price.IMO he deserves a bit if special treatment to try and help him find his feet again -

We were talking about this on the way home, maybe let him ride for a NL team who are struggling like Stoke and Kent for a few meetings as it would be in the best interests of the sport/rider -
Rockets fans you may get p****d off with fans of other teams launchpad, sparklers and dryhouse jibes but everytime i've seen Jason Garritty and Tyson Nelson ride i remember why i love this sport so much.I may have been lucky but those 2 boys are box office,Nelson tonight was worth the admission money on his own

Worrall,Cook and Barker or King. Drop Harris and arrange a training day for whole squad at Kings Lynn -
In Europe they grade in a clockwise direction,so against the way the riders go. Got to be worth a try surely it cant make it any worst.

Edinburgh And Berwick Hotels

Its a bit like look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves. If i went to a pub for instance which was an advertiser/sponsor for a prematch pint and sandwich and said it was recommended by said club or supporters the landlord can see the benefit. Oh forgot to ask do Berwick Rangers use the same food outlets as The Bandits as i have read alot about the pies and burgers. If the football food is of the same highly recommended standard i can let OUFC supporters know about it through our forum. -

Triple.H. replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Most football grounds remove tops from plastic soft drink or water bottles so you can carry the bottle back to the seat/terrace. Wily old supporters carry a couple of spare bottletops with them.thereby completing the health and safety farcical circle. -

Thanks for all the information once i know how many of us are likely to make the trip i shall start the phoning/emailing around. Also would it not be an idea to have a section with this kind of information plus taxis, local pubs etc on this site.i'm thinking along the lines of say "Tims Taxis" who advertise in a club programme so visiting supporters who may have need of a taxi when in the area use a firm who put money into the club. -
Anyone able to recommend any decent hotels/guest houses near to the relevent tracks might be popping up for a speedway football speedway trip in july.
