  1. But he wasn't caught drinking and riding he failed a test and due to the failure of the test was prevented from riding. If he failed a test after the meeting he would then have been caught drinking and riding. I'm certainly not condoning what happened but there is a big difference IMO
  2. He needs continental meetings to carry on his learning curve if of course he wants to get higher up the food chain. IMO he'll learn more in a season in Sweden than he will in an EL season over here and as I see it next season is big step up or career stagnation for him. I wish him well whichever choice he makes but certainly think it's now or never for choosing which fork in the road to follow. It's better to try and end up failing than not trying at all as you should still learn from your failures
  3. Could he be looking at Double up position over here and getting contracts in Sweden and Denmark fixed race nights so easy for planning fixtures around. Could pick up some Sunday meetings in Germany too possibly. Poland may pay good money but if you don't get paid on time if at all then is it worth the hassle.
  4. Are they Mass Debaters ? I've often heard Poole fans called something similar.
  5. Hopefully Jamie Robertson didn't ride in this as a guest for Mildenhall even though Buzz Burrows was available. I'm only having a giggle before any SuperSerious posters get all het up.
  6. But the post I quoted says you are signed in for the meeting till you leave. So say riders are picked for a test after the meeting as in other sports and say the winner is chosen and has had a swig or 2 of champagne they could possibly have alcohol detected in their system.
  7. Let's hope they don't start testing the top 3 after a GP then Champagne and alcohol tests wouldn't be an ideal end to the evenings proceedings.
  8. Phil Sweden and Poland will not be definitely finished there are considerations regarding weather though they seem to overcome those far easier than teams in Britain.Maybe this is the time to have 6 man teams with a reserve who can ride due to in meeting injury with a squad system and get everything done and dusted by mid September.
  9. But he's a full on bums on seats rider
  10. Went to Marmande about 7 years ago it was cracking and so hot and sunny even sunflowers were looking for a bit of shade
  11. Rusty will not be fit enough to ride till 5pm so if match starts earlier it will be R/R.
  12. No doubt the same response was given about the tracks in Tampere and Riga
  13. He was at Cardiff this year. My understanding when he left Oxford was that he was totally disillusioned with the sport, maybe if it is Waggy involved it will be NL level and training facilities as he always seemed to take great pride in the CL boys at Oxford.
  14. That without doubt is what all right thinking people would say and agree with, but has it not got monumental cockup written allover the whole weekends proceedings. I also totally agree with many on here that the SpeedwayStar should be far more critical of GPs when things go ** up,lets face it BSI are already hedging their bets for next years Horsens GP by making Vojens available as a nearby suitable replacement.
  15. (1) I'm not saying Darcy is innocent or guilty he's admitted having a drink the night before maybe the other 2 riders are teetotal so even if the tests were taken In a polluted area they would still get a pass whereas if you had a small amount of alcohol in your system the pollution would give you a fail. (2) The whole weekends organisation in Latvia was shambolic at the very best, in all the organised chaos mistakes could've been made. 16. All that picture proves is that in Vojens they tested indoors. Maybe a lesson has been learnt, who knows?
  17. New York Stadium is a very neat and tidy and a decent size and design just wish they'd scored less when they tonked us there. Mind you not the 1st time a good day out has had the lowpoint being the match. Edit due to that bloody predictive text
