Is that just riders who actually rode or include those who were booked for rainoffs ?I only guessed 147 as I was talking to a colleague about his snooker match the night before
-
147

They increased the rent and Trump said it wasn't sustainable. I spoke to another promoter a few months later who said he thought Oxford would've already been paying more than what the GRA had increased the rent too

One of the BT channels is like SkySports news but showing a programme to. On the TV it says to switch to channel ? For full screen

We can't get the powers that be to say with a 7 rider team if you use R/R that you have to name a number 8 IMO they won't name a number 7

SCB I'm not a plumber but I know plenty, most take more than £1K home. Admittedly the market is getting flooded with them ( no pun intended ) nowadays. But experienced plumbers in Oxfordshire are on bloody good money

Triple.H. replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I've got a sneaking suspicion that Nicki Pedersen will retire on medical grounds. He's had a few big getoffs in the last few seasons. Apparently has plenty of money in the bank IMO needs to think of his health and his family and try to find something else to get his Adrenalin rush from -
Think KN hates the Launchpad

So I'll give you a daft ideaIf you retain a rider from the previous season his team building average is cut by 0.25 to 0.5 if he goes elsewhere it remains as it's actual average. That would hopefully promote some loyalty from promoters and riders and keep fans and local sponsors happy

I'm going to put my head above the parapet and no doubt get a verbal lynching by many here. But I think you would be pretty much a perfect fit as an independent top man at the BSPA. You tried to drag the mostly fuddy-duddies into the modern era and seemed to upset them. The sport is in this country now at a major crossroads and your ideas and input could be it's saviour.
-
I think a way of improving the coverage would be for videos of various races/incidents that have been filmed by the various tracks video teams to be used. The videos that are posted on the BSPA site all seem to be of decent quality. Every televised meeting have a round up of the previous weeks meetings. Also for the casual viewer who's just channel hopping they may see action from a track close to them that they didn't know existed and pop along to a meeting.

Janowski Or Doyle For 2017 World Champion,
Triple.H. replied to Col's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I really hope Jason Doyle wins it as other than the bad luck it was well and truly in the bag last year. I'd be happy with Maciej Janowski as he's a great little rider and the one time I had the opportunity to pass the time of day with him he was a top bloke. He was surrounded by youngsters soon after and he posed for photos and signed autographs for them all. But after last night I can see Tai Woffinden stealing it away from them, he was on it for quiet probably the 1st time this season. Those who don't like Nigel Pearson's commentary may well be cheesed off with hearing Woffy Woffy Woffy by the time the circus gets to Melbourne. I also think that if Jason Doyle doesn't win this year that it could be his last chance blown. I hope I'm wrong but he's had so many smashes and bad luck. -

It's all about opinions as you know.I'm watching in the pub after watching a poor game of football. Luckily my local pub always puts the Speedway on, I bet there aren't many other forum members if any who can say the same

That was an awful decision.Smolinski did nothing wrong

Think they'll struggle to get to Wolves for a 6pm start. They've got a choice of 2 traffic jams to sit in. -

Triple.H. replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I saw Kenny Carter get carried out of the pits and sat on his bike with his leg in plaster at Oxford in a British semi final in the early 80s.He even came out and rode when he had scored enough points to qualify. Probably fearing a banTough and Driven young man Admittedly the end was terrible but riders like him and many others make a lot of those nowadays look like the primadonna footballers they claim to be tougher than -

The sport is crying out for some simple rules so here's one If you're using R/R you must name a No.8 and that rider must be there and ready to race if called upon. Or even easier just scrap R/R altogether. -

Triple.H. replied to SCB's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I can see SCB being a bit miffed with the postponement of Adam Roynon's testimonial Though if it's still at Workington next season I reckon appearances by Cookie. Maybe a matchrace between Steady and Stoney. That should pack the locals in -
