Oxford Chargers vs Belle Vue Colts 16th June

Sunny but gets overcast now and then and a bit breezy, no rain forecast on any weather app i've looked at. -
That is a rarity. But as has been mentioned if you called off every meeting due to the forecast, teams would barely run a meeting.
-
But the promotion don't set the scale for refunds, thats set by either the BSPL or SCB. The track was perfect before the meeting as confirmed by the BSN coverage, it was only when the rain set in that problems arose. This meeting and as events unfolded - people moan Meeting called off and it doesn't rain - people moan Track too wet, dry, grippy, slick - people moan The common denominator is people moan whatever the circumstances, though in all the years i've been watching speedway is it's the same people who moan about everything.

Speedway of Nations 2024

But Wrexham will fill that stand 23 times a season, plus Cup matches So a million dollars, which is around £790-800K looks like a shrewd investment when you take into account food, drink and merchandise sales on top. -
How did he get the bike back to the pits ? To my untrained eye in the stadium he rode it there, it hasn't got pedals and isn't a hobbyhorse type bicycle. So there's either a massive slope that nobody has ever noticed or his engine was running.
-
Started raining as meeting started. Not heavy but I think we might struggle to even get to heat 10 now.
-
I'll bow down to your positive attitude. It's no longer raining a mile from the track and the ground is hardly wet. Just spoke to a mate who is already there and the track is looking good.
-
One for the rulebook experts If you have a rider called up to ride in this meeting and also have a league match the same day are the team entitled to A guest, R/R or an NDL guest not riding in the Championship
-
I'm about a mile from the track and the rain is very light, been like it for an hour now and the ground isn't very wet and no puddles

British Final 2024

What happened to 7 day ban for missing a meeting due to illness. -
BK might not ride again this season but he will ride in the GP Challenge. Riders have ridden in World Championship qualifiers while carrying an injury that stops them riding week in week out for years. Look at our own country back in the 80s the authorities wouldn't seed Kenny Carter to the Commonwealth Final so he rode in a British Final qualifying round and the Final with a broken leg. Both meetings also in very difficult conditions. I was at the Semifinal and they had to carry him out of the pits to sit on the bike.

OXFORD V LEICESTER 3RD JUNE 24.
Triple.H. replied to gjcone44's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I said last night to a few people that any Leicester fans who were there or bought the livestream, must be gutted that they don't get racing like that week in and out. Us Oxford fans are so bloody lucky after years of closure to have 3 good teams where every rider at every level gives their all on a well prepared track, all in fron of decent crowds. -
He only has one Dinky toy, never let's go of it.

Birmingham v Ipswich KOC June 3rd
Triple.H. replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Shouldn't he be out for 7 days ? I thought that was the rule miss a meeting through illness miss 7 days, though it might be yet another rule if you withdraw halfway through a meeting. -
Why would they need a Visa They're coming here to play one match. If every footballer needed a Visa to play a match in another country. There wouldn't be any International matches. Also if a football team sign a player who needs a Visa. The big teams have plenty of resources to make sure it's not a long winded operation. Also most transfers in football have gone through a lengthy process before they're announced
-
You can't beat fans who can't be bothered to back the British youngsters. He's in the position he is in the team due to the increase/reduction in the various leagues in an attempt to move riders up a level. TBH Dan Gilkes is a talented boy, but probably needs more meetings.
-
But as usual you fail to I congratulate you on your ability to continue to be the most negative poster on here

Thanks for telling me what I should view and how wrong I am to judge what I can see. I know riders have said they could've carried on after the extensive track work after heat 10. I also see the Medics side
-
Which referring to my post about the medical staff looking better sat down drinking tea, instead of surrounding an injured rider go seems to go straight over your head. Riders chase the dirt and tend to go a lot wider as the meeting goes on. I can only judge the track from what I've seen on social media, but any rider who went out wide after heat 10, by choice , genuine mistakeI or being forced out. MO would've probably ended up in hospital
-
Maybe she said that her team had another event they had to get too. Also the Medical team are the ones who have to deal with the riders after a crash, perhaps they should be listened too as IMO I'd rather see the Medics sat down drinking tea than see them crowded around a rider who's clattered the fence
