  1. Just looked and either they've updated the page or as I'm using my phone which is being painfully slow maybe I had a ghost image so part of another page over the main page. Should've took a screenshot at the time. It definitely said 21st September at 19:00
  2. Can't see the pair's at Somerset the night before either. As rumours of one big league how about my radical idea BSPA members who read this forum please sit down. My novel idea may scare the living daylights out of you. Belle Vue June/July a 3 day festival of speedway. Friday a 4s qualifying event to get it down to 8 teams Saturday Pairs Sunday 4s semis and finals
  3. Plus University rooms probably unavailable due to it being term time. It was brought forward to 5pm so you had a better chance of getting a train out afterwards.
  4. 7pm start too Unless it's the final GP it could be a big mistake IMO
  5. you forgot to add An ideal gift for any Glasgow supporters
  6. fairly sure when i was a boy many years ago Wolverhampton were a friday night track, but they closed for a season or two late 70s early 80s and came back at 2nd division level on mondays.
  7. Didn't have any problems getting in last year or any other year. Also over the years I've been to many big sports and entertainment events both here and abroad and had no problems. I put it down to not turning up with enough bags to need a team of sherpas to carry them. At least at most events now if you turn up with rucksacks etc they stick you in a different queue.
  8. I would say that something that needs to happen is if you buy a club you can vote on anything not wait 3 years for the right. Busters son could've been the sports Barry Hearn It didn't happen I don't know why but would hazard a guess a few old fuddy duddys didn't like his ideas
  9. I thought there were only 2 tiers at that end of the stadium. Or is the lower half of the upper tier N1 etc and the higher bit UN1 etc. ? I can honestly say I've never even looked at a seating plan for the stadium. We struck lucky the 1st year so have always looked for UN1 etc tickets.
  10. If they're downstairs on first or second bend you might not like it. Move upstairs during a grading break and sit about 3/4 of the way up. Loads of empty seats. Only sat on the lower tier once, admittedly near the back. Every year otherwise I've been upstairs 1st/2nd bend though one year we ended up in the Sir Edmund Hillary row on the back straight.
  11. i just ordered 3 on the SGP site and was allocated the same 3 seats i had last year, there must be some serious odds on that happening.
  12. Stand on the first turn down close to the fence. It's amazing how fast the top boys hammer it into the bend.
  13. As he's a Legend I'm the sport Why not spell his name correctly Dikc
  14. AAAHH so thats why Carol Kirkwood has those Texan sized bazookas
  15. So according to that Shale Searcher if the Poles don't do the business tonight they'l blame the Met Office.
  16. I think in the runoffs and finals if it finishes 3-3 they should rerun the race until it finishes a 4-2 or 5-1. Or if you want something a bit different if it' a 3 - 3 have a matchrace over 2 laps. Winner takes all
  17. Any truth that next time this competition is run, of course that is if it' ran again That all teams have to have 3 riders ? Though to a simpleton like myself it should've been a given for this year. I mean if you're minor nation and can't name 3 suitable riders you should've been refused the opportunity to race on signing in at the track.
  18. Call the mods Call the mods stevehone has broken the no sensible post rule
  19. Team Riding is almost non existent nowadays. Though there is a British rider who is very good at it when required. The much maligned Ben Barker
  20. Looks like they need Len Silver running training schools in Slovenia. He wouldn' let you race unless you could lay it down.
