Oxford v Birmingham Thursday 1st August PL
Triple.H. replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm about a mile from the track, only had a couple of light showers, of course that doesn't mean there hasn't been a monsoon at the track. But people who are closer to the track than me have reported light showers. -
Oxford vs Berwick - Wed 24th July
Triple.H. replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The score doesn't tell the whole story. Yet again Berwick come to town and put up a much better fight than many supposedly better teams. -

Lots of people saying the opportunity to get in the playoffs is being thrown away. Let's see what happens, the change might be the secret ingredient that brings it all together. Who knows ?
-
According to the Berwick preview of this Wednesdays fixture. Drew Kemp was due to drop to reserve anyway. So Erik Riss was going to be back in the top 5. So as it looks like no big hitter coming in, maybe the club thought it better to give Luke Killeen the opportunity for a few meetings at a higher level.
-
Well my point of view is that describing 4 young riders as weak reserves is very negative. I'll take my chill pill, I'd recommend you take one too
-
Instead of knocking the four young men riding at reserve, why not watch the meeting and post your thoughts, good, bad or indifferent then It's no wonder so many youngsters get disillusioned after a few seasons of riding.

I was talking about Poole stadium.

How do you know the CL team isn't making money. In the know or best guess.

Imagine having a forum without its resident idiot -
It's a no from me Paul Starke with no disrespect has been on the slippery slope for a few seasons. Adam Roynon was potentially a top rider until his succession of injuries hit. But he's not the answer. Maybe Ace Pijper could do a job having been dropped by Glasgow, lots of travelling though. But a change of scenery might suit him. I see Michael West is riding for Australia tonight. Supposed to be a bit of a character Maybe he's the new Garry Middleton. Might be worth a roll of the dice if his average fits, along with Visa's etc

Birmingham v Oxford Mon 8th July PL
Triple.H. replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fair enough But in GB missing a meeting is usually 7 day suspension. Probably treated very differently in Poland. -

Can Freddie ride having pulled out of last week's meeting as still feeling the affects of his GP get off ? Or is not riding due to the after effects of a get off, different to illness -
Oxford v Ipswich 4th July

The old first bend bunching scenario, does it say in the rulebook how far around the track the first bend ends or is it the officials decision ? -

Strangely that's why I wrote unless the rules have changed. I was at a meeting in this country many moons ago where an incident happened and the referee put all 4 back. -

It was a six of one and half a dozen of the other incident. Just put all 4 back in, unless the rules have changed a rider doesn't have to be excluded for the stoppage. Though I've only see it happen once in the donkeys years I've been watching speedway. -

AB moved at the start 3 times. IMO due to the lack of consistency among referees the ruling should be changed. Every rider knows if they touch the tapes they're either off 15m or replaced by a reserve, while still having to have three rides. So allow them to move as much as they like like once the Greenlight comes on. If you touch the tapes along with your 15m handicap / reserve replacement you also get a fine. £50 in PL and £25 in CL with no financial penalty in NDL as those riders will as they move up, learn not to move. Maybe he's been welcomed back with open arms. There's a few other CL clubs who could do with an upgrade at Reserve. Poole might be staking another claim on him before anyone else pounces. He's a talented lad and coming back from a bad injury, my personal opinion is Poole were to hasty to get rid of him, clubs have to have a youngster at reserve so at the very least stick with them unless they're almost getting lapped in every race.

Progression Amateur/NJL NDL Championship Premiership World Stage That's what IMO what every team should be looking to
-
Get well soon But did the tooth fairy visit ?

More fool those who don't turn up to see NDL NJL, U21s etc. There's plenty of young talented lads out there who just need tracktime. I'll put my head above the parapet and say if the British U21 final was at Oxford the crowd would be 1K plus. Admittedly Oxford have a lot of speedway starved fans within a 50 mile radius. But I reckon there's a fair few CL clubs who'd like our crowds at NDL level.
