  1. Hello Mr White Night Haven't seen any posts from you for a good while, hope you're keeping well in these strange old times
  2. If everything is as bad as this year but Elite Sportspeople and entourage able to travel. I'd suggest a GB double header Sheffield on the Friday. Belle Vue Saturday.
  3. You've answered your own question. If you took a drug that made you more relaxed you would be more likely to go for the ever decreasing gap.
  4. Steve i don't know if its ever crossed your mind but having read about your family history with Ivan Mauger, then your own riding career followed by your photography career, would. if you can put it into words or find a suitable ghost writer make a good book or series in the Speedway Star during the winter. Youv'e experienced the sport from near enough every angle.
  5. Please Please Pretty Please Did Wyer the Flyer give him a headstart and then smoke him like a kipper/Danish bacon
  6. Daft Idea warning Maybe when a subscription is up for renewal offer a free 2 week trial of the online edition, to give an opportunity for the subscriber to take a look and see if they would prefer to renew with the online option instead of print.
  7. Maybe they could have a couple more qualifiers from GP challenge and a couple less wildcards. If GP challenge was after the final GP maybe a ruling that if you finish outside of top 6 and don't qualify from the challenge then you cannot get a wildcard. Unless you missed X percentage of GPs through injury
  8. I daresay there's a loophole then where the peak isn't considered too be part of the helmet. I know the thinking was the camera could cause an injury but a peak mounted one could possibly do a lot of damage in a fall such as Jazon Doyle's at the weekend.. I also realise a lot of HSE type rules/laws are a fair bit into the beinv struck by lightning percentages.
  9. So you can wear a helmet cam for the media but not for your own use as its considered a danger.
  10. I thought it was banned years ago. Don't the riders nowadays have the fuel supplied by the track running the meeting ? I remember plenty of rumours about one prolific tuner of the late 80s onwards where if you used his engine you had to use his fuel. May have all been led by jealousy of the speed by other riders
  11. The tyre is hologated so shouldnt need testing unless the FIM think the compound has been changed. As for a rider tied into another manufacturer. Tough either get on with it or break your contract and use the other tyre
  12. As this years competition is slightly different and certain gates at all tracks seem to have an advantage, why not for the next 3 rounds have a draw for day 1. After day 1 meeting finished whoever finished 16th has 1st choice of riding position for the following day, working your way upto the winner who has last choice.
  13. I agree with all that but as Bagpuss said in the post below yours the'yre racers they want to win. The difference between a World Final and a GP qualifier, is you're not going to do anything daft in a race to try and win, risking a fall etc when you know you've only got to pick up a point to be Champion.
  14. Why would he take a dive and risk damaging his bike or even worst injuring himself, Surely if he didn't want to qualify he would just pull an Elkins out of the hat.
  15. Why would a rider settle for a second place when they can get the win ?, A pity for Adam Ellis but just a racing incident, Just hope he's OK
  16. I you would have been more than a little disappointed if Sheffield had signed the other J.Holder
  17. Nothing wrong with being biased,he's your lad, so it's in the job description, you're justifiably proud of him It doesn't matter if he was first, last or middle of the pack choice for the GB spot. He's been offered and accepted it. At the end of the day its a very strange old season i can see why riders not racing regularly have turned it down. Some riders need 4-5 meetings a week to keep themselves sharp, others can survive on 1-2. But none at all is a hell of a lot of ground to make up for. Say for instance Bomber had been asked, and i don't know if he was, and accepted this forum would be melting down by now. In the wild and wacky way the British work they call for a youngster to be given a chance and then moan when they get given the chance. As far as i'm concerned good luck Adam
  18. Galvin was a very good and very entertaining rider.
  19. So it takes 7-8 years to develop a vaccine to prove theres no side effects etc and you think its OK for the Government to force people to be vaccinated with something not fully tested
