  1. I'm sure I read on Facebook that Tuesdays crowd was the biggest the promotion had.
  2. I'd hazard a guess that the material deteriorates due to rain and sunshine, numerous scuffs and lots of inflation and deflations, so the end result if each compartment is airtight but not strong enough to withstand a big impact.
  3. They probably pray for the occasional dusty meeting in Denmark
  4. I just get a message saying unsafe website Though reading the following posts the future doesn't look bright. Time for more promotions to follow the lead of Len Silver and the late Colin Hill. A decent day's pay for a decent day's work Pay your employees on time Your employees are happy as being paid and remain loyal I bet many a rider has thought the grass was greener and realised their mistake over the years. Also one of the biggest grumbles in the sport for what seems forever is too many team changes each season. Both the above named promoters tended to keep the basis of the previous seasons squad so fans were happy as continuity in the team makeup. I doubt if the riders would stay loyal to the Promoter/club if they weren't getting paid.
  5. The BSPL said anyone racing on IOW would face a ban or fine
  6. Because he rode on the IOW last week the BSPL have stopped him from being a meeting reserve for the British Final.
  7. Like I said its Farcical from the BSPL. If I was in Manchester I'd get 16 Baseball caps emblazoned with Justice for Connor Coles on them and get the riders to wear them
  8. Connor Coles not allowed to be a reserve as he rode on the IOW last week. Farcical from the BSPL
  9. I'd second that Redcar is a great racetrack, well worth a visit
  10. Congratulations you must be the first person to manage to use the words Swindon, Posher and Middleclass in the same sentence
  11. I'm all honesty can anyone see Swindon reopening ? As far as I know they still haven't started the Stadium rebuild and with the houses encroaching ever nearer. It's going to be a very sad day for the Towns Sporting legacy. Maybe they can find some land reasonably local on a brownfield site. Oxford have made more progress with a team of volunteers in a couple of months than Swindon have since they reshaped the track.
  12. I've just read on Facebook that Philip Rising has sadly died after a long illness R.I.P.
  13. There is if you Start on time Get the 2 minutes on as soon as the last rider from the preceding race has gone through the pit gate Only have grading and watering after hts 4,8, and 12 then 10-15 minutes after ht15 Obviously any major crashes could affect the smooth efficient running One of the biggest problems British speedway faces is the we can't do that and that won't work attitude,
  14. Why not make it a D/H league match and KOC match, obviously only if they could beat their curfew if they have one
  15. My post was aimed at hotels etc not the great and the good of the BSPL. Lets be honesti t's not the hotels fault that the meeting has been cancelled, my suggestion was based on you have a No change no refund booking, but if you ask them nicely in the current climate thay may allow you to alter your booking. You struck lucky and got a refund
  16. Even if you have a non refundable hotel booking, it's worth sending an email explaining the event you were going to has been postponed, and asking if they could possibly give you a credit so you can rebook for the relevant new date, the hotel still retains a booking so still get the money and in the current climate i reckon you will find most hotels, airlines etc are prepared to be flexible, afterall they are in the same state of ever changing circumstances as all of us. Don't forget to mention you're from North of the border, i'm positive no hotel would want to turn down those potential takings at the bar.
  17. I do hope Falubaz is happy for me i had a win double bet come in A Pole who's a Russian, and Berwick to win
  18. Tip of the day Research wildcards who have won a Speedway GP,, then take the opportunity to take your foot out of your mouth
  19. Born in Britain, raised in Australia Were you born in Zielona Gora ? if so you could be German as your country has had so many boundary changes over the years
  20. It would make a pleasant change instead of the Poles giving the Russians passports and citizenship on a willy nilly basis
  21. you cannot really compare riders from different era's due to changes in equipment etc. Make the series really interesting have one GP on standard engines either GM, Gerhard or Jawa. whichever supplier the FIM can agree a deal with. Do it at a 2 night GP one night their own engines 2nd night draw lots for engines, lets see who really is the best rider not who has the best engines
