  1. I know that but if the fixtures didn't take place then the points earned shouldn't count towards averages
  2. As Eastbourne wirhdrew from the league then any rider who rode against or for them should have his average adjustef accordingly, otherwise Eastbourne should still appear in the league table. You cannot expunge the team record without also expunging any points from riders who rode either for or against them from them.
  3. Rumour Control says yes but ive also been told that he's not signing. it's a conundrum within an enigma in a darkened room this guess the riders lark Sorry i forgot to mention the smoke and mirrors
  4. I've heard that we may be signing a young rider with a lot of potential from deepest Suffolk
  5. Supporters club might arrange a trip to Poole on a Salters Steamer. Steve Roberts first off the gangplank in Poole in his Viking gear
  6. As he is the Leaseholder once his monthly lease and other bills are paid anything else goes into his profit margin I would think So entrance money plus beer and food sales and any sponsorship will hopefully make the Speedway breakeven at the very least and any profit is great. As Jamie Courtney said in his interview I heard on the Radio. Hopefully some big crowds for the first few meetings then a successful entertaining team keeps the paying public coming back. Poole are the yardstick Since Matt Ford took over they've had good entertaining teams and due to the success and footfall that brings they get decent sponsors and advertisers
  7. Decent shout for a reserve position, falls off a bit but that's more due to 100% effort and a bit of over enthusiasm IMO. Type of rider most fans will enjoy watching, living locally too can only be good for PR and everyone likes a local youngster in the team Personally if he fits and the promotion want to use him I'd have Connor Coles in too, another tryer and also has Oxford connections
  8. IMO all riders should be on the same money per point, including bonus points and none on a guarantee.
  9. The last 18 months has been a strange time To go totally off topic have you seen the series Hornby if not you may find it interesting. It's on Yesterday I think
  10. Riding for Oxford in the NDL Team being built for strength in depth with a big scoring wily old campaigner to lead the team Haven't heard who the club are looking at to fill the WOC role. JD should slot in as 3 or 5
  11. Better organised than the Government Which isn't really praise
  12. A team with a long history on the comeback trail, hopefully it comes to a successful fruition
  13. Oxford were always a Thursday night track till Northern Sports took over and moved Race Nigbt to Fridays to take part in the big boys league
  14. I've heard Oxford running in Polish League so Friday meetings not a problem
  15. Stadium as far as I know owned by the Council but run on a lease basis. I'm sure the local council find having a successful sports team in the town very good for the towns image, also bringing money into the local community. Matt Ford and those Pesky Pirates wether you love them or loathe them are the blueprint holders for a successful team and business.
  16. Premier Inns tend to be dearer in the week and cheaper friday and saturday. Obviously their Hotels near Entertainment and Sporting venues will raise prices accordingly, its the way of the world
  17. I like that, brings team management more into the game much like the TS rule back in the day
  18. Why not look at Bournemouth far more choice of accommodation and only a short cheap trip on the rattler away from Poole. Train station in Poole ain't too far from the track
  19. Aussies may find a date in the Calendar for the Tasmanian Championship
  20. I've been saying more or less the same for years GP Challenge after the last GP, under the new points system where its all about qualifying for the Semi's you have riders in the mix who won't go for that gap as they don't need to as they've already qualified for the following season.
  21. That's almost a King's Ransom in that neck of the world
  22. R.I.P. His partnership with Phil Collins was one of the finest I've ever seen
