Scunthorpe Scorpions 2022
Triple.H. replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'd say the biggest thing is if TW has had some influence on signing him. -
Variety is the spice of life. If we all liked the same things life would be pretty boring. IMO one thing the sport can do is provide a bit of variety in some if not all the meetings. How many former regular attendees posting on this forum have said 15 heats and endless laps by a Massey Ferguson is one of the reasons they no longer attend. The sport needs to win back these supporters while also attracting new ones, 8 riders doing a few Flat Track demos may attract some who wouldn't go. At the end of the day the same old format being done every meeting isn't getting a new generation of fans through the door.

Oxford Cheetahs 2022
Triple.H. replied to CowleyCheetahs's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We know that but the post I quoted suggested he was being paid a King's Ransom. Speedway seems to be full of people who allegedly know what everyone is and isn't being paid but they never, as my Old maths teacher would say, show their working out -

Oxford Cheetahs 2022

I think his crash at Wolverhampton knocked the stuffing out of him so he realised it's still a young man's game. I honestly think he will still race a few meetings in Australia but not State titles etc to scratch his itch. I'm definitely in the remember him on the top of his game camp as opposed to seeing him being beaten by youngsters chasing the dream. As a manager he can maybe give so much advice to the team that it has to be a good move. -

Dark Blues to be precise Shoe the Tabs -
The science behind the development of The Dirtometer is surely worthy of a chapter or two

If your'e prepared to say it's not a rumour as it came from a Championship promotion, then i'm afraid as far as i'm concerned then it remains a rumour unless you name the promotion.

Oxford Cheetahs 2022
Triple.H. replied to CowleyCheetahs's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Oliver Holt lives in Oxford so hopefully he will be given an open invite to the Stadium for both Speedway and Greyhounds and any other events taking place so he can continue to give National publicity to a resurrected venue. Something we all hope, I'm sure in the reopening of other Stadiums such as Coventry and Rye House -

Maybe as he's not British and needs a Visa to work here ? Maybe he cannot change Employer in GB on a willy nilly basis.

Also an Easy hotel has recently opened in Summertown, I haven't a clue about their carparking arrangements. It's also a couple of bus rides away from the stadium on busy and frequent routes. Oxford most days is pretty gridlocked. Fridays can be worst as A34 is chockablock with shed taggers during the summer -
Looking for sponsorship from a major car maker ?

Its been announced its at Oxford august 12th, the night before the GP So if you want to plan ahead So a heads up for anyone wanting to book accomodation, Premier Inn Cowley a 10 minute walk from stadium Holiday Inn Express and Hampton by Hilton both by the Kasstad and 20 minute walk from stadium There are newly opened Premier Inns in the Citycentre and Botley which is just off the A34 Both on very regular bus routes which will get you to a couple of minutes walk from the stadium , you'll have to change in the Citycentre if going from Botley. From Citycentre all you need is a return ticket from Botley a daypass to cover all bus operators, currently £3.80 return or £4.30 for a day pass Theres a Travelodge on the Abingdon rd, and a Jury's hotel in Wolvercote Obviously lots of other hotels and BnB's around from very expensive to very cheap, ive just chosen big chain hotels that are normally not a rip off price to let anyone who wants to book well in advance know about

Proof please or is your reply based on best guess ? Just like my post you quoted

Definite future world champions - or not!
Triple.H. replied to bluebee's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I'm pretty sure it was a Good Friday meeting at Coventry vs Poole and I witnessed a masterclass in team riding by Darcy Ward to Shepherd Dennis Andersson home -
Was it the late Jon Cook who suggested a team X points behind could choose gate positions, as in we'll go off 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 etc. I think thats worth a go, at the end of the day anything to shake up the same old familiar format must be worth a try.
