  1. Last night from what I've read and heard in the local media Nick Morris contacted someone, I don't know who at approx 5pm to say he was stuck on the M5 due to an accident and unlikely to get there. Oxford then contacted Bomber who's meeting at Poole had been called off early morning due to the poor weather forecast, a Len Silver special but proved correct. I don't have a clue where in the Midlands Bomber lives but when contacted he could get to Perry Barr and was happy to accept the booking. TBH any Birmingham fan who was at Oxford on Tuesday must have seen Nick Morris busting a gut on a heavy track that he's not ridden before to score points and earn money. So as he's ridden Birmingham plenty of times do any of you think it made much difference ?
  2. Sure I read that he didn't ride in ht15 last night because he thought conditions were too bad. He's the one risking life and limb so I'd say fairplay to him.
  3. Sedgeman was head and shoulders over everyone from the gate, due to the rain gating was so so important. Personally i thought the meeting should've been halted till the rain passed over and then try to sort the track out. James Pearson looks like a good little rider considering he's probably not raced in conditions as they were, fair play to Nick Morris too who was trying bloody hard..
  4. I don't know if JS average would fit as a replacement for JA and if that would be within the numerous other rules affecting team building. But JS for JA and RR or guest for Adam Ellis would surely be a better option. Unless this was the only way to prevent Adam Ellis getting a 28 day ban for withholding his services #inthebestinterests.
  5. I've been reading the Poole topics it seems very popular among their fans
  6. Winning at home is good for business Ben Morley will beat a fair few Heat Leaders at home Away from home if he picks up 3-5 points he could win you the title
  7. You can see why Ipswich fans find Cameron Heeps so frustrating, loads of ability but a lack of application of that ability. He's been very hit and miss so far, as has Kyle Newman. As Ipswich have now dropped him he really needs to pull his socks up at CL level. I hope it just clicks for both of them and they get a few decent scores under their belts. We also have to remember we have no home track advantage at the moment. For away teams it's not so much a problem as they have to adjust whenever they go to a track.
  8. Every ticket I've had for various events has had the option of printing out. Also if you save to Drive I'm sure it gives you the option to printout.
  9. Maybe it's because riders back then were more adaptable to different surfaces and conditions along with less powerful machinery
  10. He's still about I've put your post onto the Horspath CSC Facebook page.
  11. Works even better with a shiny chrome clutch lever
  12. Doesn't matter if you love him or hate him when the boy is on form he's an absolute joy to watch
  13. Probably because in Ancient Greece they had Gladiators.
  14. Any news on who's replacing Dan Gilkes and Leon Flint ? Or will LF be giving it a shot.
  15. Redcar vs Oxford was the first one i've watched live since the first broadcast from Berwick. The changes and improvements in less than a month are easily noticeable, onwards and upwards. The other matches i've just FFWD and watched the racing due to time constraints
  16. Stadium carpark opens at 5pm for disabled parking on a first come first served basis. I think the Unipart carpark also opens at 5pm Hopefully they don't mind me posting this update from today https://oxford-stadium.co.uk/commercial-news/commercial-corner-an-update-from-behind-the-scenes-at-oxford-stadium-2/
  17. They have to measure the distance from the Carpark to the ticket office and then check the amount and depth of the potholes for the distance comes within the relevant council guidelines
  18. Apologies as i obviously never went back far enough to track the whole story
  19. Totally agree re the if's and but's. Which is why I mentioned Scott Nicholls having a bad day at the office. But Foreverblue was more or less gloating that Poole has a Conference Leagie rider at reserve while completely forgetting Oxford also did. Maybe the dust obscured his/her vision through their blue tinted spectacles.
  20. TBH, I'd rather we did what we did, and use a rider from our own junior team. Only way riders will progress unless they are a super talent is to get track time against riders of a higher standard. Better to train our own riders than someone else's Maybe a lesson for the British Authorities as our leagues trained up plenty of Foreign talent instead of using British riders who ended up drifting away from the sport. Luckily there now seems to be a good crop of younger riders coming through who will kick on
  21. Oxford had a CL rider at reserve. Scott Nicholls had an off night,it happens to everyone at some point. If he had scored as expected it could've been a draw or even an Oxford victory.
