  1. Car parking is at Unipart about half a mile away book your spot when you book tickets. Just scroll down further for the parking Shuttles arranged for those unable to walk the due distance easily
  2. Two good signings But I hope they make very few appearances on your excellent racetrack
  3. Good to see Mr Oystercard had a decent evening judging by his points. Fairplay after coming back from a big GetOff
  4. No work permits anymore as far as I know Just various Visas which allow different things I may be wrong but I think when a few years back the Government clamped down there were a few Aussies on visitor Visas who had a spin after the meeting which was deemed to be not in accordance with their visa
  5. The car park at Unipart is free You might not enjoy delays on the way to and from the meeting but that's hardly any promoters fault.
  6. On the ticketing site it gives you the option to buy more than one ticket You could select 2 adults 1 older child and one kid for a quid on the same booking admittedly it adds on the pound per ticket booking fee at the end. Selecting car parking is simply scrolling down a little further It's not perfect but at least it's doable with a positive attitude instead of what seems to me a very negative one.
  7. Bet if he can't get a visa he can't get into the country
  8. No doubt you've looked at any benefits you're entitled too. I had a shock when I looked on the Government state pension page late last year, I don't qualify for a state pension till I'm 67, I've been in continual employment with the same employer since 1979 I have to pay at that time another 4 years NI contributions to get my full state pension. PS Sorry to hear of the loss of your wife, my condolences
  9. Steve even though the weather can be a bit iffy even in the height of summer you need to pop down. Failing that make a guest appearance up north
  10. Cue loads of posts saying they're not good enough, better riders available etc
  11. It has to be remembered that Oxford City Council were fully behind retaining the Stadium for sporting and leisure use, also our former local MP Andrew Smith along of course with the Committee formed to save the stadium. Other areas aren't as lucky with having the local council on board.
  12. Agreed But it may force those innocent people to overthrow their current leader as if the West go into try and sort it out we will definitely end up with WW3. The only way to solve the Putin Problem is for the Russians themselves to do it. Hopefully they have a suitable candidate for leadership with a following in the general population and among the armed forces.
  13. I honestly can't believe some of what I've read on here and social media regarding the Russians not being in the GPs devaluing the series. Maybe it will maybe it won't Whoever wins, like it or lump it is World Champion. Even though the Russians not riding is only a very small nibble at Putin compared to other sports and Economic restrictions, I'd far rather see GPs without them than thousands if not millions of lives destroyed
  14. I'm starting to get the feeling of no GPs in the old Eastern Bloc countries
  15. Maybe with the current situation in Ukraine, which let's be honest seems to be getting worst each day. Poland could be in a position, though hopefully not, where non Polish riders would make themselves available for team changes in GB.
  16. Apologies, i have jumped the gun on some of your original post, i completely agree on the basis of the pedigree of certain teams and riders should produce a better meeting
  17. I'd pick a couple of bones out of this, 1st match of the season could be a better or could be a boring gate and go festival. Both teams will be ring rusty so you can't really judge form until every team has a few matches under their belts. If they put Glasgow vs Poole on as the first 2 streams it doesn't mean they're going to be meetings full of great racing, we'd all assume so because of their teams, but any 2 teams can produce a borefest. I myself succumbed and bought a season pass, before I read the email from my energy provider. Hopefully the service is good quality
  18. Their Polish Passports and Citizenship was gained by Polish Clubs to make it easier to fit into their squads and journeys in and out of Poland for those meetings easier. Which country do they represent on the International Stage It doesn't matter that you think te GP is devalued by them not being in it when unless there's some very radical changes we're on the verge of WW3. The Rest of the World are working on the theory that by preventing Russians taking part in sports and introducing financial/business constraints that the Russians will sort out the Putin problem. As for Sayfudtinov his best years of being World Champion passed him by while his manager advised him to give the GPs a miss
  19. Humphrey Appleby will be on your case. I've said more or less the same in a few posts in this topic and he's told me I'm wrong.
  20. Stop every Russian outside Russia from working, put them under house arrest for example. This then encourages the Russians most probably the Army to overthrow the dictator. It won't be pretty or nice but the last time this type of thing happened Nuclear Weapons weren't readily available. You're worried about your Russian workmate. Think of the Muslims who are automatically thought of as terrorists. Putin isn't going to fall on his sword the only way to remove him from power is by the Russians doing it. The guys a busted flush
  21. I still stand by my original post. They have Russian passports, were born in Russia and represent Russia in international competition, even though they moan they get minimal funding. Their Polish passports and citizenship is to make it easier for them to ride in Poland They're Russian and so like numerous other Russian teams and sports people they should be banned from competing unless in a domestic Russian competition.
  22. But they have 2 passports, maybe more. So they can pick and choose their nationality on a whim
