  1. I think with online ticketing if a match is postponed you automaticaly get a refund, less booking fee i assume
  2. Think he was born in Sweden, even if he wasn't he'd surely qualify for Swedish citizenship/nationality being as his mother and no doubt his grandparents on her side are Swedish
  3. Maybe CL believes in his ability to ride upto or above his actual average, as for KR lets see what he does, hopefully well. My point is why all the moaning and groaning, if my memory aint playing tricks didnt DH ride for Ipswich before and was dropped and lots of fans thought he shouldnt have been
  4. So yourself and many Ipswich fans are happy to throw Danyon Hume under the bus saddled with all the pressure of you all thinking he aint good enough, but think its unfair if an Australian has too much pressure.
  5. Posted this in the wrong topic due to fat finger small touchscreen and being in the pub syndrome id love to know what happened The ZK and Poo Pirates gossip will be everlasting unless all the fans who say they know what happened say what happened to cause his hasty transfer along the coast As for those who put him down because of his age, remember John Louis didn't take up speedway until his late 20s and did far more in his career than plenty of youngsters who followed within a far bigger pool of riders. Before anyone jumps on the bandwagon of slagging me off for comparing different era's. I know the sport is generally a young man's game.
  6. Some idiot posted in the wrong topic I'll try not to do it again As Lewy liked it The ZK and Poo Pirates gossip will be everlasting unless all the fans who say they know what happened say what happened to cause his hasty transfer along the coast As for those who put him down because of his age, remember John Louis didn't take up speedway until his late 20s and did far more in his career than plenty of youngsters who followed within a far bigger pool of riders. Before anyone jumps on the bandwagon of slagging me off for comparing different era's. I know the sport is generally a young man's game.
  7. If George Congreve was eligible, i'd have him in the NDL in a heartbeat and to be honest if he hadn't been thrown to the lions as he was at Newcastle last year i think he'd have a Championship spot in 2023.
  8. Heard Keynan Rew has two spinal fractures but full movement after a crash in Australia.
  9. Found it. The post is in the Australian Final section in International Speedway on this very forum Apologies I couldn't work out how to share the post to here so I copied and pasted INJURY UPDATE: Tate Zischke was released from hospital on Sunday and has since said: “I was rushed to hospital with head injuries. Luckily there was no internal bleeding. I don’t remember ever riding in the final. The doctors said I was knocked out and had two seizures. I remember waking up in the hospital wondering what has happened. I’m feeling better now – just a killer headache. Thank you to everyone for the calls and messages, much appreciated. Couple months off the bike resting up.”
  10. TBH that's exactly what I thought. I read originally that when he got home his mum posted he couldn't remember anything about the crash, which probably happens a fair bit if you get knocked about. But when I read today about the seizures, I immediately thought that ain't good. He needs tests etc in Australia before he should be allowed to race again. This is of course the quote re unconsciousness and seizures being true. Just wish I could remember where I read it, I've had a very stressful day
  11. I read somewhere online today a quote from young Tate Z saying that he was knocked out and also suffered a couple of seizures after his crash at Gillman. Has to stay off the bike a couple of months. Might scupper the Tigers plans if he's not fit enough to come over. Head injuries are a strange old thing, hopefully he'll be totally fine.
  12. Liking the professional approach to announcing signings. Well done to the promotion
  13. I agree String team with potential, I've only seen Jake Mulford in a few NDL matches and he didn't look too shabby.
  14. I'm not a Berwick fan but the difference between Bomber and Rooboy is pretty simple and it's not averages (of the oh so many the sport gives us) Rooboy has had a season out so will probably take time to get into the swing of things. Having read on this thread that he's not got a great record at Berwick. Known to whinge if it's too wet or grippy and it hardly ever rains in Berwick. Whereas Bomber would race on a ploughed field in a monsoon and still come into the pits with a big grin
  15. If Captain Hook had two hooks instead of one and two wooden legs I reckon he could count on his fingers and toes how many promoters use profits from their Speedway to subsidise their other businesses
  16. Shouldn't the programme be called Danny La Ru Pauls drag race
  17. That is praise indeed, I've never seen any of the riders you mention at Ashfield but to be thought of as better from the back than Les Collins is some feat. When Les Collins was riding anywhere I saw him all I wanted was him to do was bring his Chris Morton gating gloves and then go out and chase the other 3 riders down. One of the finest riders I've been lucky enough to see in my 50ish years of watching the sport
  18. Playing devils avocado maybe young Bowes cominig in, if i remember correctly isnt there some falling out between the riders/families and so if you want one you cannot have the other. Apologies if i'm getting all confused in my old age
