  1. Luke Killeen is from what I've heard and it's the truth not idle gossip, due to have an operation tomorrow. Hopefully it speeds up his recovery.
  2. Trigger a lot cheaper too, whereas Sam Hagon would cost a bit in travel expenses. Also if SH isn't the answer all you're doing is training a rider for someone else.
  3. I think the main reason for dropping a league was the fans like Wednesday night racing. Home matches on two Mondays on the trot followed by a Thursday then a two week gap etc, fans had no idea of when any changes of day would arise. If fans want Wednesdays and turn up in numbers that gives you funds to invest in the team, plus bigger crowds should bring in more sponsorship. Easypeasy this promoting lark Build a decent team with hopefully good exciting racing Ride home meetings on the same day of the week with only the odd change.
  4. A budget they earn by being successful Which means they get good support and sponsorship
  5. I remember his mum coming to Oxford a week or two later to thank the Paramedics and Firstaiders. He came back to Oxford a couple of seasons later and was a bit tentative, understandably in his first ride, but then went at it full tilt. Bigger balls than me
  6. 94 or 95 Richard Juul had a big big get off at Oxford, that's probably the one you're thinking of
  7. Tonight would be an ideal meeting for him to get amongst the points.
  8. It was a very awkward fall mid track where he overcooked it and locked up then got thrown of the bike. Hopefully it's nothing to serious, maybe he aggravated the injury he'd just came back from.
  9. As its NDL i think a rule change might be good, Max Perry got excluded, but from my viewpoint i would've said 1st bend bunching. Perhaps give the referee the option of putting the rider off of a 15-20m handicap instead of an exclusion, no replacement option. It would give the riders a little more tracktime and in testing conditions like wednesday it could only be good for their development.
  10. Ashton Boughen is hopefully a future star in the making, not 16 till august i believe, rode at Oxford on wednesday on a very tricky track and looked like a wily old campaigner.
  11. Who kNOSE Maybe a 9 day rest if it comes within concussion regulations, be a big miss as he's well on form at the moment
  12. Steve I think you'll find most fans think that Speedways ill's are caused by Poole problems.
  13. No doubt if the SF gets rained off on the 18th the restaging will be the 19th. Though the Danes tend to get on with it when it's a bit wet.
  14. Was just about to post the above Next round is 18th May https://speedwaynews.pl/en/speedway/kildemand-wins-in-glumso-ten-riders-with-promotion/
  15. Wasn't the Danish Final. It was quarter or semi, took place at Glumso, if it wasn't rained off (due to a forecast of light showers) Sorry I had to have a dig
  16. TBH building a team is about putting a 7 piece jigsaw together, within the constraints of the averages so you could say Bartosz Zmarzlik was in your plans.
  17. How do you know they didn't ask ? Maybe the rider wasn't in Redcar's plans for this year.
  18. Surely which team a rider chooses to ride for is down to him, you've got a bee in your bonnet about something and nothing.
  19. Might be a homologated fence post thats required
  20. I think I watched a different meeting to the updater.
  21. Wouldn't have minded either or both in the Oxford team this season. I daresay every other teams supporters would welcome them too.
  22. Some ticket agencies along with the booking fee also charged an additional fee to download an E-Ticket. Thankfully they saw the light pretty quickly
