Broken finger !!!! I remember watching Kenny Carter being carried out of, and back into the pits with a broken leg at Oxford in a qualifier for the British Final, and it was pretty much drizzle all day and throughout the meeting. Mind you his leg was only broken in 4 places. -
SGP and SGP 2 qualifying round nominations
Triple.H. replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
If you want to be in with the big boys, you'd get there. Say it was in America or South Africa, maybe the FIM should look at hiring out a stadium in Spain and doing it there, the locals are bike mad, could do the same in Italy somewhere further south. It's a joke IMO having the GP Challenge before the end of the GP season. -
SGP and SGP 2 qualifying round nominations
Triple.H. replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
I still think none of the 15 GP riders should be allowed to enter the qualifiers. Leave the SEC winner as only other direct qualifier End of GP season those who finished outside the top 6 race against 10 who have qualified through the rounds. Top 3 into GP then pick your 5 wildcards. -

Oxford vs Poole KOC SF 1st leg 30th May
Triple.H. replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I didn't say he had concussion, but as he has been hospitalised that he probably should have to have to take time off. They have a concussion protocol so why shouldn't there be something similar. -
Edinburgh v Scunthorpe Championship 26/5/23

You've missed the point FIM regulations for signing into the meeting are irrelevant if the country the rider represents says they must be in the country where the round is being held the day before. The Danes have done it for donkeys years -

Maybe the Italians are like the Danes and have an agreement that their riders must be in the country the day before an FIM event -
Oxford vs Poole KOC SF 1st leg 30th May

IMO if he had a big enough hit to be hospitalised for potential lung damage, even if they found nothing. In his best interests he should probably be put into the 9 day concussion protocol. -

Luke Killeen is from what I've heard and it's the truth not idle gossip, due to have an operation tomorrow. Hopefully it speeds up his recovery.

Trigger a lot cheaper too, whereas Sam Hagon would cost a bit in travel expenses. Also if SH isn't the answer all you're doing is training a rider for someone else.

Poole Vs Scunny league 24th May
Triple.H. replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think the main reason for dropping a league was the fans like Wednesday night racing. Home matches on two Mondays on the trot followed by a Thursday then a two week gap etc, fans had no idea of when any changes of day would arise. If fans want Wednesdays and turn up in numbers that gives you funds to invest in the team, plus bigger crowds should bring in more sponsorship. Easypeasy this promoting lark Build a decent team with hopefully good exciting racing Ride home meetings on the same day of the week with only the odd change. -

I remember his mum coming to Oxford a week or two later to thank the Paramedics and Firstaiders. He came back to Oxford a couple of seasons later and was a bit tentative, understandably in his first ride, but then went at it full tilt. Bigger balls than me -
Sorry can you say that again

Oxford vs Plymouth - BSN Series - 17 May
Triple.H. replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It was a very awkward fall mid track where he overcooked it and locked up then got thrown of the bike. Hopefully it's nothing to serious, maybe he aggravated the injury he'd just came back from. -
Oxford v Leicester - Weds 10 May
Triple.H. replied to PotteringAround's topic in National League Speedway
As its NDL i think a rule change might be good, Max Perry got excluded, but from my viewpoint i would've said 1st bend bunching. Perhaps give the referee the option of putting the rider off of a 15-20m handicap instead of an exclusion, no replacement option. It would give the riders a little more tracktime and in testing conditions like wednesday it could only be good for their development. -

Ashton Boughen is hopefully a future star in the making, not 16 till august i believe, rode at Oxford on wednesday on a very tricky track and looked like a wily old campaigner. -
