  2. Brilliant rider on wet tracks.
  3. Nothing to do with the subject but how come the 2nd posting on this subject has a time after the next 2. yours a puzzled technophobe
  4. Nice to see Mr Snackette has followed my lead by packing some shorts for the trip
  5. Daugavpils is a ****hole stay in Riga till saturday, though a place called citycentre is ok couple of bars, bowling alley and pizza place. The prison is a sight to behold though,a few like that over here would stop some people reoffending.
  6. Got a feeling that heat 13 may just sneak onto the 2007 superheats dvd.
  7. Move the PL 4TT to Oxford, any profits to help save the club instead of being shared out,is it too Radical or is it a Goer.
  8. Take a jacket/fleece it might be red hot during the day but once the sun sets it gets bloody freezing.
  9. A proper ice meeting in the UK bring it on i reckon,i think there would be a good chance of a very big crowd as people with no idea of the sport would be curious to see it.
  10. Had a great time Rickshaw racing in Riga on sunday night, but i suspect the riders regret saying yes to our request to take 3 passengers on one and 2 on the other, they were knackered by the time we got back to the hotel.
  11. Thanks for the info, its going to be a big ask for him though to challenge the Russians.
  12. According to the site daugavpils.lv Kjastas Poudhuks is in for the GP,also i remember reading somewhere that the track has a big home advantage.
  13. Tony Steele was at a forum in Oxford a few years ago and said that you did not have to exclude a rider, wether it is different in FIM meetings is another thing.
  14. Is Gunther Bauer going to ride this season?
  15. The Danes may not have set the world alight in the 1st rnd and playoff but they are in the final where everyone starts equal.Past performances show the danes have it in them to rise to the occasion in the big matches.
  16. Going in september for the Golden helmet with Travelplus 4 meetings in 3 days can,t be bad.
  17. To not enter a British team in this event is probably the most short sighted decision the SCB and BSPA have made.If they got thmselves into gear at the end of the season instead of the end of February,we could work fixtures around most meetings in Europe.Take a leaf out of the Swedish and Polish leagues sort your points limit (Not gradings)and teams out in november. The fixture list could then be worked around these type of meetings and maybe even Longtrack and Grasstrack championships. Then the big challenge is to get all promotors to agree that if meetings do have to be rearranged due to bad weather, and it happens to clash with one of these events then r/r can be used. (1) Get the fixtures out early and get the riders to commit to them. (2) Get the promotors to work as a team(i know it's probably impossible) (3) Get the management commitee to discuss any r/r or guest issues between themselves and then notify the referee and both promotors of there decision and that that decision is final.Instead of them spending an hour of the meeting arguing over who agreed what and with whom, mostly over a few hundredths of a point.
  18. Why don't the BSPA enter teams in competitions like this?It would be good experience for younger riders to go abroad and race on different tracks. The type of riders i would consider would be of premier league heat leader and second string standard or elite league reserves.Who are on there way up the ladder not treading water so to speak. Also a round would then be held over here and the opportunity to see some riders who's names you only see on the internet and in the star would be great.I saw a round a few years ago and saw Matej Zagar for the first time, absolute quality.
  19. I can see it now a tag team wrestling match between "Naughty" Nicki Pedersen and "Hard riding" Hans N. Andersen Vs Greg "The Hammer" Hancock and "Lightweight" Lee Richardson.
