Speedway World Cup 2012
Triple.H. replied to mdmc82's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Fairly sure Mr Silver wasn't running Rye House at the time. Just checked on wiki and it says Ronnie Russell bought the club in 1984 and closed down in 1993 running with various co-promoters. Signed Peter Schroek as well as Jens Rasmussen. -
Sure it said on the Redcar thread that Mark Jones had retired.

Final word on this from me i didnt know who the young lad was in and around the pits looking IMO pretty full of himself i assumed he may be a Raider or Fentiger, didnt even know it was Robert Lambert till before his 2nd ride when i heard the announcement. He proceeded to fall off in his 1st practice ride and a Ryehouse supporter sat near me said that might bring him back down to earth a bit, dont know if that was pun or no pun intended but perhaps that comment stuck in my head.He came out for his 2nd practice ride and looked better than most of the riders in the PL meeting, fair play to the lad and his parents if they are putting this much time and effort into his future career. My original post has been quoted twice by the same poster both basically agreeing then disagreeing with it But as Waco says this thread is about Jason Garrity who will definitely benefit from NL meetings as if he has a couple of bad PL meetings he should be able to get himself back in the groove with a good NL performance,i would have thought he would have been a shoe in from the start of the season unless Team building limits prevented it.

Nothing wrong with his racesuit, its a personal opinion that young riders should wear something a little less flash, much like at a lot of premiership football academies players are only allowed to wear black boots. As for ego i thought he looked a bit full of himself, hopefully he is as you say very grounded and good luck to him he is learning far more in each meeting on the continent than he will doing lap after lap on his own.I dont know the situation with Australia but if he is eligible to ride a 500 down under at his age maybe he should be encouraged to try and get on the Young Brits trip.Getting time off school would oviously be an issue.
-
He rode in a individual meeting in Germany a few weeks ago and finished runner up i think against good standard opposition.Exceptional talent for his age
-
From what i saw on monday he would benefit more from a plain race suit and a little less ego though he does look pretty good.

Apologies for another thread re Cardiff but i'm sure one of the reasons Cardiff couldn't be earlier in the year was the Olympic authorities require the stadium for the preceding month, now listening to Talksport today and they were talking about Tennis ,Wimbledon which finishes less than 2 weeks before the Olympics starts is not affected by this 1 month rule.Generally by the start of the 2nd week of Wimbledon the courts are pretty much bare of grass in certain areas so will they returf them? or leave them as they are i'm sure a returf would take a long time to settle, makes sweeping a few thousand tons of shale off a concrete floor seem a lot easier by comparison. So is it one rule for the rich and another for the poor.

Fim Meetings In Russia In 2012
Triple.H. replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
The simple way round it is the FIM tell the authorities that they need to be able to get Visas sorted so you pick them up on entry to the country and the same for mechanics etc Having read in the Speedway Star this summer re the USA teams problems in Ukraine with bikes permits and visas why don't the FIM say to the country concerned that an official of the countries version of the ACU with a bit of clout meets you at immigration to sort any problems such as the bike is unsuitable for road use or has no number plate etc I apologise in advance for poor punctuation but I am in the pub and cannot findd a full stop or comma on my phone But I have just rediscovered the cracker with the mistletoe abd she has bought me a pint Desperate Women you have to love them -

Gp In Auckland 2012
Triple.H. replied to Bradford Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Surely the whole bloody idea of a GP in New Zealand is due to an expansion of the series and why not in a country with a fantastic hiistory in the sport• As for none speedway fans going just to enjoy a festive day out that's exactly what the sport needs you never know they might get hooked on it -
Elrc Swindon 15th October
Triple.H. replied to bees4life's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Good entertaining meeting and a well deserved winner in Rooboy though I couldn't believe some Swindon fans reaction that they don't want him next season if he is signed up -
You can always go and make some Gingerbread. whoops forgot to mention like most of Poland there is plenty of lovely views and i dont mean the buildings.

If the tampering is as widespread as some say, then the BSPA should be contacting the various manufacturers and asking for a list of all people ordering a batch of new silencers and contacting those concerned and asking them the question.

The KC stadium could be a reasonable venue for a temporary track for a GP quite close to the city centre so a fair few watering holes plus my sister lives near the Humber Bridge so my digs are sorted. On a more realistic note there must be plenty of brownfield sites in the area where something along the lines of Redcar.Scunny etc could be built. Need to have a plan for other things other than speedway at the complex so the council can see some other benefits to the local community.

Swedish Grand Prix

Was that BFD in the green cape waiting for the rerun of heat 12 -
I reckon if you went into one of the major high street bookies you could maybe get a decet price o Krasnikov or either of the Ivanovs they know less than nothing about speedway so the Ice version would be a totally alien concept. Also more of a question for Conkers etc why isn't Franky Zorn riding in these meetings he generally seems to struggle on Russian ice and surely the race and practice time would do him the world of good in the World Championship against the Russians.I know it would cost an arm and a leg but couldn't Austrias federation back him.He has got to be up there as there finest motorcycling star i cant think of any others off the top of my head in other disciplines.

U21 World Team Cup - British Team Selection
Triple.H. replied to RPNY's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Thought i'd be the first of many and ask Whats the weather like? -
Justt noticed Bomber is drinking Buxton water Tai some unknown water and i'm on Kronenbourg. Why aint someone at the BSPA sorted out a deal to get Team Gb all drinking the same water from Britain. Product placement on the Tv and ads on the bikes and racesuits also plenty of space on the team caps and polo shirts, all the major supermarkets have their own brand British water think a link up with a big worldwide but specially european player like Tesco could be a cheap deal for them and pay the transport and accomodation bills for the team very easily. Maybe too much of a revolutionary idea for the 'Forward thinkers' at the BSPA.
