What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Triple.H. replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm pretty sure the bikes used by Francis Gusts in UK 2025 were owned by Oxford and remain their property. There's a big difference between being given and being loaned, also how many riders are crisscrossing the country in vans supplied by the club, as in the club have leased, not bought them. -
Absolutely horrendous crash at Oxford, he opened the pit gates with the force he hit them. I seem to remember his mum came to the track a few weeks later to thank the medical staff for everything they had done, I think he died but they pulled him back. When he returned in his 1st ride he was understandably a bit tentative. Next race he went for it, full tilt. I'm not ashamed to say he's got bigger balls than me.

He's off to Poole to replace Kerr, Shovlar will post a million times his disapproval

Yet again you mention something that happened years ago when we were part of the EU. I'm asking about now. We are not in the EU. Should a British employee be unemployed when there is suitable jobs available that are taken by employees requiring a work permit.
-
Is he doing the X Factor as well ?
-
Yes but times have moved on now, as a Country we are Geographically European but Politically a single entity. So should an employee needing a work permit take the job of a suitable British employee of same/similar standard ? I'm just putting forward a scenario, no agenda, just interested in how would the Government view a British Citizen being made unemployable because an employee requiring a work permit is considered by the employer to be a better option.
-
Greg Hancock isn't British. A British rider could possibly go to court saying he is a proven performer at a certain level and being prevented from earning a living because of teams using riders who require work permits.
-
I know i'm a bit biased as an Oxford supporter, but IMO they must be the Gold standard as they won. Good luck to all groups trying to resurrect stadia and clubs.

You tell us, you seem to think you know what's going to happen.

4TT held in Switzerland Israel Palestine Russia Ukraine If that don't get the eyes of the World watching then the sport is dead on it's feet.
-
Might mean Simon
-
Might have attracted insomniacs who then went to a meeting and solved their issue by watching tractors spending more time on the track than the bikes.

PASS Whoops shouldn't have said that word to a Poole fan. š

Do you know which league they've pulled out of ? If it's PL CL and NDL again it could be Cheetahs moving up to PL or staying CL. If it's one league then every club is dropping out of either PL or CL to create whatever the new league is called.

I'm pretty sure that there was a rule that new teams couldn't go straight into the top league.

SGP 2026 and Sprint Races.
Triple.H. replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If they want Sprint races they should have them at every round. -
Organisation and a strong hand on the tiller, no rearranging matches because a rider is a reserve in the Timbuktu Open Championship.

I reckon its one senior league and one junior league
