Swc Event 1 King's Lynn 26/07/14

Quite enjoyed that, the aussies had some terrible luck, the Yanks looked ok but what are they going to do when the old bloke retires, apart from Nico Covatti the Italians were way out of it. Well done to the Brit lads, they all rode well and pulled it off, straight to the final, looking forward to the second round, not having to worry. Come on Team GB. -
I need to point out to you Stan, this was kept quite because we didnt want Phillips knowing we were coming and the less people who knew the better, as it was we had a Judas in our group because the copper told us so. The copper might have looked bored because it all went off without a problem, the Newspaper woman was called by the people who arranged it. No point doings something if nobody knows you have done it. The idea was to deliver a letter to Phillips asking him to set it right, but the bloke didnt care. We did have one result Phillips and his wife had a domestic in front of us, it sort of made the day.

Brummie supporter and came up for this one, should have been at Lakeside watching my team in the EL, but this was a far better meeting than I would have seen if the Brummies hadnt closed down. Great action, plenty of overtaking the odd fall, top class riding from all concerned Douglas and Jorgensen awesome riding from this pair, very enjoyable racing, nice people to talk to, well run and professional meeting. Really hope we come back in the PL a far superior league to the so called Elite league, thanks Scunny for a good day.

Last two EL meeting I saw were poor hoping to see some good action from the PL boys. Do they do a programme for the youth one.

Dont quite understand what we would do with the money, is it for the riders, the rent, track staff or stadium staff, how would we use it and who looks after it. Not to trust worthy of promoters at the moment following the Phillips saga, lost a lot of money because of those gits. Like the idea in principal but would need a lot of reasons why I would hand any money over to a promoter unless he was hand cuffed to me. Already decided never to have a season ticket again so could afford 10 to 15 quid a month to go into a fund, but would need cast iron proof it was going to the right people.

Enjoyed Cardiff, nice day had a meal in the usual Pub Owain trafedal or something like that very reasonably priced. Met a few friends as we went round and finally sat in the park for an hour, enjoying the warm weather. Went back to the car for a cuppa and then walked down to the stadium again, tryed to rob us of our drinks, had the choice of drinking them or binning them, drank a couple but got the other two in, Pop only but felt like a small victory. Sat in the usual place second tier by the second bend, spotted some mates from Coventry and got over to chat to them and then sat down to watch the GP. Thought the bloke on the bike was good, stunt rider, rider intros were better than last year, cant remember his name but the track announcer was good, eastbourne bloke. Enjoyed the racing, the track was so much better than last year and liked it that the riders who fell got up and off the track, nice to see that git Pedersen didnt make the semis. Felt the racing was alright but the end result was wrong, got home about 11.15pm, love these early starts from this well run meeting. It was nice to stop worrying bout the Brummies for a few hours, love SGP and cardiff.

Enjoyed my first visit to Copenhagen, also enjoyed the meeting, didnt think the crowd was the biggest. We were on the back straight and the stand didnt look like it had been cleaned for a while a lot of rubbish on the floor but a good view, shame about the track cutting up, but some good moves by some of the riders. Harris was dreadful, Tai got better sorry he didnt make the final. Well done to Batchelor and Iversen. kildermand rode well for a wild card, glad pedersen didnt get many points. Very nice place Copenhagen, stayed till monday, lots to do and easy to get around, didnt realise it was the last one, another new track for me. Bring on Cardiff only thing Ive got to look forward to at the moment, looks like the Brummies have gone. -
Didnt they used to have a girl in that group, have they split from her?
-
Pointless.

I was there yesterday and not the greatest meeting Ive ever been to lots of dust, baking sun, hard work for the track crew, funny watching the security man chasing off the four lads who tried to climb the ladder up to the refs box. Tense score all the way through. I brought a raffle ticket but didnt hear it announced, I did leave after the main event anybody know if it was called out and what the number was. Its some time since I brought a raffle ticket and feel slighty robbed at the moment.

The music is on for at least half an hour before the start of the racing and you and Yorkie are doing nothing, maybe you could spare a few minutes of your time and have a wander around with this sound engineer before the meeting starts. I wont hold my breath waiting for some action its just like the BSPA get them in and then dont give a toss how the supporters are treated. Ears plugs I think.

Thanks for your reply, but as before you want the supporters to sort it out, you have the word of the management, we dont, so as one of the blokes who chat on the mic, why cant you sort it out. Again go and listen to the PA from the supporters point of view, it probably sounds a lot different to you on the centre green. Have a walk into the stands and get yorkie to chat to you from the pits or centre green and listen to the disco we the supporters have to try and talk across during a meeting. Perhaps its not falling on deaf ears, I suppose the possibly is that you are deaf.
