  1. Not a bad meeting, shame about the dust bowl, if you want these kids to learn, put some shale on the track. A very good performance from Jack Hargreaves 15 point max. Nielsen looked good and british as well, Worrall entertaining, Starke doing the business, Baseby much improved since the last time I saw him, Blackbird and Knight looked like they had the no how, just need some more rides. Shame about the track, Perry wanted to blast around the outside but nothing there to give him any grip, a great rider from the back, but you need something to work with, I feel Dudley have a lot to offer in the NL this season.
  2. Seen the lad at Buxton quite a few times, a bit wild at times, but entertaining, hope he goes a long way. It will be good to have a young englishman to watch.
  3. Japan, Aussie, New Zealand, South Africa, America, Argentina and Brazil. Hows that for 7 venues. Japan, Aussie and NZ before the season starts, America, Argentina and Brazil the first few weeks. South Africa the final one of the SGP season. I know they dont have Speedway in Brazil or Japan to my knowledge, but it would be good to see it happen.
  4. Of the 60 odd meeting I went to last year, this was the most boring meeting I had seen for a long time, I wont be going to this years, save my money for a decent meeting with some racing in it. What a bore fest.
  5. I think you could cut the crowd by 2000 for the next meeting, you always get the "got to be there for the first meeting" supporters and hangers on for the first one and then it starts to drop off, hopefully they will have a good season and be able to keep there crowd level at 2000 per meeting.
  6. Ok with me an hour closer than Peterboro, but they will have to go some to beat last years meeting.
  7. Recently saw his DVD, a good Doco to watch, well worth the money.
  8. Enjoyed that, track looked good, saturday night racing, takes me back to 7os/80s. Wright was poor. Barker the usual up and down,Smart needs to up it a level in this company, Nermrk did very well to get to the final, showed again in the last race he seems down on speed, hope he gets the set up right for Monday, post the slowest time of the evening. Nice day and good to talk speedway racing. Had to get out quick so dodnt get the last race time, could somebody tell me, thanks.
  9. Looking forward to this one, like my trips to Newport, should be a good meeting.
  10. Ronnie Correy, has had more come backs than old blue eyes.
  11. The saving grace is Plymouth is a straight drive home on motorway. You dont live here then, the motorways are a complete hassle at night, road works, diversions, low speed limits, good luck with it.
  12. Enjoyed that, good to meet up with some of the old faces, liked the racing, Atkin the best of the day, Barker just the usual prat, O`hare well done mate, should have been put back in the re-run in my view. Smartie, Hargreaves and Collins all ex Brummies did us proud, the Two germans entertained us, didnt thnik much of the half time entertainment. The pairs was a good event and a lot of good racing alround, perhaps dont invite Barker next year, get a proper rider in.
  13. They have a curfew at Stoke, instead of starting the meeting on time, they decided to have an unnessary parade and then an interval and ran out of time, I always feel they should leave the running of theses meeting with the promoters of said track, they no they dont have to mess about. Not the BSPA.
  14. sorry Jude didnt even know you were there, probably talking to the cov mates in front of us, they are not happy men at the moment.
  15. Enjoyed today, it was warm compared to last season, a great move from Smartie in the final to split the top two on the day and then goes on and wins, track rode well I thought, nice to see a big turn out for the Newport promotoion. Mr Mallett came round with his camera and showed photos of the track a couple of days ago and the work they must have put in to get this meeting on, its a big well done to everybody who sorted the track. good day, anybody esle pissed off the road was closed to the M50 and then had trouble on the M5 as well, took three hours to get home.It only took an hour and half to get there. Oh and if you are going to by the DVD the best camera man in Speedway was doing the filming.
  16. We will be there for this one wrapped up warm, lets hope the weather stays ok, I will be keeping my eye on the forum for update on the weather. Roll on Sunday.
  17. Iim sorry but I cant agree with that, not are we losing two of the greatest names in speedway, but the stadiums where we hold a lot of the big events would be lost as well.
  18. I'll think of you all in the Arctic for this one while I'm heading for Mildura - expected temp 46C. you lucky bugger, hope you have a nice trip, Ill be thinking of you while I watch the classic. seven layers of clothes and still bloody cold.
  19. Some of us will still be watching the PL, still the best racing you can get. Mod Note: - Please now see http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=59022&st=0#entry1826214
