Had a great day always enjoy cardiff and it was nice to see the best man on the day become the winner, well done Chris. Harris was awful again but Nicholls rode well, roll on next year. -
A bit of a strange meeting, entertaining with all the falls, thankfully nobody got hurt, start marshall a complete prat, different bloke to normal. Jensen deserved the win looked the best man on the night and good to see young Kyle newman amongst the points. shame about the track, would probably have been called off, if it was a normal EL meeting.

Great meeting, sadly our rider Bjarne isnt up to this standard of racing, very poor show. Great win for Holder, what a great final race. -
Yes, Thanks we were just about to leave and checked the websites, well done.

Stoke Vs. Birmingham 8 October
P T Preece replied to Parsloes 1928 nearly's topic in National League Speedway
For those birmingham supporters who didnt bother going you missed a cracking meeting, some close racing and a last heat decider. Its a shame you have to travel sixty miles up the road to watch your team, when we have a stadium on the doorstep doing nothing. -
Id really miss Buxton if it closed, I havent been able to get up there as much as i did in 2010, but plan more meeting there in 2012.

one of my favorite tracks buxton, not very warm very often, but Ive seen some good racing there over the years. Surely rain offs go with the sport, some you win some you dont, at this time of year its a lotto, I had 10 meeting lined up between now and the end of October, expect to get to about six of them , Lost one last night at Stoke, Leicester the next one on Friday, hope its on and they re-arrange the Stoke meeting for next week or its rip off speedway at the ELRC. You do a good job at Buxton Jayne, dont let the buggers get you down.

Birmingham Bulls V Stoke Potters Ch

Pathic, can get a seven man team for a challenge meeting. -
First visit to Buxton today for this season, enjoyed the meeting, cant stand this stupid Tac ride rule. A team builds up a useful lead over a number of heats to get it wiped out by the tac ride, it cost Buxton 2 points today, worked it out when I got home, if heat 11 had been a 2-4 instead of 2-7 to the stars, buxton would have won by 46-44. The sooner they get rid of it the better. All in all a good meeting some close racing, the usual falls, a bit of rain and sunshine, will be there again soon.
-
Looking forward to this one, first meeting at Buxton this season for me, hope its a good one.

They have still got to get past the dreaded planning stage

I havent been this season yet planning my first visit on Sunday, but last season I saw some cracking meeting, went to the last 4 of the season and the track looked ok then. Looking forward to sunday, hope its Ok.

Stoke Potters Vs Mildenhall Fen Tigers

Not a bad meeting, well impressed with Sargeant, best Ive seen him ride, shame about Isherwood and Reade, good performance from the other memebers of the team. Some of the Tigers riders look good but Stoke wanted it more, well run meeting and no messing about, only went to see how hargreaves was looking this season, ex-Brummies as he is, had a good go in his third ride, getting the win and came home behind his team mate in his first, but looked down on power. -

Back in the old days of one off world finals, one of the German finals, I think it was Munich, they had the local police motorcycle team doing a display this was one of the best things I have ever seen at a speedway event. Are the white helmets still about or the imps, entertainment with a capitol E. -
Not a bad meeting, shame about the dust bowl, if you want these kids to learn, put some shale on the track. A very good performance from Jack Hargreaves 15 point max. Nielsen looked good and british as well, Worrall entertaining, Starke doing the business, Baseby much improved since the last time I saw him, Blackbird and Knight looked like they had the no how, just need some more rides. Shame about the track, Perry wanted to blast around the outside but nothing there to give him any grip, a great rider from the back, but you need something to work with, I feel Dudley have a lot to offer in the NL this season.

Seen the lad at Buxton quite a few times, a bit wild at times, but entertaining, hope he goes a long way. It will be good to have a young englishman to watch.

Japan, Aussie, New Zealand, South Africa, America, Argentina and Brazil. Hows that for 7 venues. Japan, Aussie and NZ before the season starts, America, Argentina and Brazil the first few weeks. South Africa the final one of the SGP season. I know they dont have Speedway in Brazil or Japan to my knowledge, but it would be good to see it happen. -
Recently saw his DVD, a good Doco to watch, well worth the money.

Ronnie Correy, has had more come backs than old blue eyes.

any news on fixtures.

The saving grace is Plymouth is a straight drive home on motorway. You dont live here then, the motorways are a complete hassle at night, road works, diversions, low speed limits, good luck with it.

Some of us will still be watching the PL, still the best racing you can get. Mod Note: - Please now see http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=59022&st=0#entry1826214
