  1. Yea, everybody come down for Danny, nice bloke and the Captain of the Brummies, show your support.
  2. Enjoyed those, thought the buxton meeting was better than the stoke one, they got on well with it at Buxton inspite of the rain, the hitmen coming back well to win by 4 points, morris and blackbird looked good for Dudley. Well done to Blackbird getting a full max and Starke a paided one at stoke, apart from Priest I thought Stoke were poor, Smarty looked slow from the gate and down on power. Long day but very enjoyable.
  3. Id like to wish Nico Covatti good luck tonight from this Brummies supporter, not much of a chance but if he gets a couple of points Ill be happy. Go on Nico do us proud.
  4. Enjoyed that, little worried by the field when I first saw it but some good talent on show, bring on the next one.
  5. Enjoyed that, good meeting, Ellis something esle, Ritching rode very well as well, didnt look a bad crowd and the supporters got behind the teams. Branford silly boy, it will get better.
  6. Can someone explain why the starting gate was only fitted up at 2.10pm and not tried or tested before the racing started, this may have solved the problem we had in race one of the 2nd semi. Which started the delays, and also why when you have a major meeting like the fours cant you have more then one paramedic present, one off the track looking after the poor blokes who fall off and the the other in the middle so the meeting can carry on. Surley this would make the sport more professional and exciting as the action would keep coming, I do realise that at times it may need both paramedics to look after the racers as its not always one rider who falls off. Ive noticed a couple of times on skytv meeting that its been annouced that riders who have fallen were being looked after in the medical area, but the racing continues, do they have two paramedics for the sky matches.
  7. Perphaps the national speedway stadium could be sited here instead of Belle Vue, its worth the promoters having a look at least. Sorry silly me, our promoters having a look, what chance is there of that.
  8. Great, Ill have to tune into that, the more people that do and maybe we will getter better coverage in the future.
  9. Great night and three more points to take us onto the play offs, great crowd, next team please.
  10. Our first trip to Plymouth on friday, been trying to get there for years. At first disappointed, didnt look much of a place from the outside. Then to be told we have to park in a car park around the corner, didnt make us any happier, dark clouds in the distance adding to the gloomy outlook. Was quite simply surprised when we got inside, small track, had a wander around and decided to watch from the stand on the back straight, starting to like the place as it was a good viewing platform for a couple of shorties, port a loos but at least they were clean. Felt the action would be close, fast and furious due to the small size of the track, a track record of 48.06s. Had a chat to the presenter about the PA system, due to the noise from the major roads above they are hoping to get some speakers on the centre green to give a better sound. Enjoyed the meeting not a lot of passing but damn they ride close together and one mistake and somebody comes through, supporters cheering on and a decent crowd to watch the action, its a while since we have been this close to the action. Liked neville the devil as well, normally think these blokes are a waste of time but he kept the kids happy and a lot of the littles one watched the action as well, normally there off playing instead of watching. Second new track in a week and enjoyed them both, coming back couse we will when we can, well done Plymouth. Oh and the Dick Barry thing was all a joke, nice to see the bloke again.
  11. My first visit to see the kent kings, long trip down from Brumm, but what a fantastic place views alround no posts or lights to get in the way, nice clean seats to sit on, some standing areas, puts a lot of the EL and PL clubs to shame. As we travelled from The midlands the start time was ideal didnt get home too late, well run meeting and some good work from the Ref. Track staff worked hard with the shale they could find, the lad on the first bend did a great job. Had the bonus of the Bronze helmet race as well, do like tracks to have curfews it means they have to get on with it. If your down that way well worth a visit, just needs a little more shale. Hope to be back soon.
  12. Enjoyed that, one of the best meeting Ive seen this year, thought it was the right decision in heat 13, Brummies supporter so no axe to grind. A very cold night again but enjoyable saturday night racing, still the best night of the week to see racing. I saw the promoter as we left the stadium and he didnt look happy at all got to feel sorry for the riders at times like that.
  13. Hope to get to Kent next monday, got the week off and want to see a new track,
  14. Can somebody help me, Im sure I read somewhere that we were going to have a long track meeting in GB this year but I cant find it any where. If so where and when.
  15. Cracking meeting on friday, really enjoyed that. New start time was welcome as well, never could understand the 8pm start. Its always nice to see Boxall ride 100% trier, great nights entertainment for a £10.
  16. Whats the weather forecast for that area, will be coming up if its favorable, looking forward to it.
  17. A bit fed up really, no PA on the back straight which made it hard to hear the results and times and then the bloke in the boxs mike goes and packs up, never in my life have I left a meeting after watching it all the way through and not known the final score. Shame about the rain and no back up for the PA system after all the bloke uses a roving mike. Never even got the result of the 50/50 draw, always like my visits to hi-edge but thinking twice about coming again.
  18. Great coverage and no annoying Ermolenko and his computer, only one problem they missed the semi draws and final one as well, always like this as the riders always seem troubled. More please, no studio seems better, this was one of the best GPs for years, down to the track and not the filming no matter who filmed it, just glad they did..
  19. Cracking meeting the best SGP for sometime, well done to Wuffy looked on the pace, glad dirty git Pedersen didnt get into the final. More please.
  20. I remember a great one between Hans Nielsen(Birmingham) and Bruce Penhall(cradley) at perry barr, the yank was all over Hans but couldent find away past him, on the closest races Ive ever seen, good old days indeed.
  21. Do they still do the carvery upstairs at Sheffield, weather permitting Ill be coming up on Thursday.
