Weather permitting coming up for this one.

Thank you.

I want to see how long it takes for the Cov supporters to do a war cry, what mouthful for a team.
-
Will it be run later in the month.

Enjoyed that, another good afternoons entertainment, well run and Doyle came through without a problem. In the last couple of days Ive seen two well run and presented meeting at the lower level. Tomorrow I go to Poole and watch a meeting run by skytv. Its a long way from Brum and a long journey home to have to get up in the morning and go to work, they sould take a look at the PL and NL in how to run a meeting and follow suit. Well done to Somerset on winning the KOC. Come on you Brummies.

Pearson always tells us that its a good crowd at wolves when they are on the Telly, as this is a one sided stadium the crowd will always look bigger and better than most clubs that 3 or 4 sided stadiums, Peterborough always looks empty when there on the box. Its a sad state of affairs in this day and age but its cheaper to sit at home and watch the speedway, with the price of fuel to get to a stadium and general costs when your in there. We know for a fact that at Perry Barr the food and drink is cheaper for the dog racing than it is for the speedway, they even have offers of two for one for the dogs. It another case of rip off britian.

Stockholm Gp September 21st
P T Preece replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Enjoyed the trip to sweden and thought it was a good GP, its been a while since I went abroad and enjoyed the whole weekend, spent a couple more nights in stockholm, its quite expensive but a great city. Worried about gollob in his fall with Wuffy, never like it when there is no movement while they lie on the deck relieved to see him moving as they put him in the ambulance. nice stadium, good view, shame Wuffy couldent quite do it, but feel confident of having another british world champ after Torun. would go again, but might try finland next year. -
Porkie at wolves, yorkie any where, the couple at Leicester, does anybody remember the bloke at carmarthen he wasnt on the centre green, in the box, never had to re-fill in my programme so much in my life wanted to kill the bloke. the most annoying for me is the bloke at peterborough again not on the centre but in the box, will insisit on telling you things about the rider as he tells you the result. the best at the moment has got to be dave rowe, clear voice, tells the result as it is.

Enjoyed the meeting. but feel let down as we still dont know apart from Bjerre who will be in the SGP next season. I think the blokes in the GP shouldent be able to go through the qualifiers. After all they have 12 rounds of the GP season to prove they are good enough to be in it in the first place.

Enjoyed those, thought the buxton meeting was better than the stoke one, they got on well with it at Buxton inspite of the rain, the hitmen coming back well to win by 4 points, morris and blackbird looked good for Dudley. Well done to Blackbird getting a full max and Starke a paided one at stoke, apart from Priest I thought Stoke were poor, Smarty looked slow from the gate and down on power. Long day but very enjoyable.

Enjoyed that, good meeting, Ellis something esle, Ritching rode very well as well, didnt look a bad crowd and the supporters got behind the teams. Branford silly boy, it will get better. -
Perphaps the national speedway stadium could be sited here instead of Belle Vue, its worth the promoters having a look at least. Sorry silly me, our promoters having a look, what chance is there of that.

Our first trip to Plymouth on friday, been trying to get there for years. At first disappointed, didnt look much of a place from the outside. Then to be told we have to park in a car park around the corner, didnt make us any happier, dark clouds in the distance adding to the gloomy outlook. Was quite simply surprised when we got inside, small track, had a wander around and decided to watch from the stand on the back straight, starting to like the place as it was a good viewing platform for a couple of shorties, port a loos but at least they were clean. Felt the action would be close, fast and furious due to the small size of the track, a track record of 48.06s. Had a chat to the presenter about the PA system, due to the noise from the major roads above they are hoping to get some speakers on the centre green to give a better sound. Enjoyed the meeting not a lot of passing but damn they ride close together and one mistake and somebody comes through, supporters cheering on and a decent crowd to watch the action, its a while since we have been this close to the action. Liked neville the devil as well, normally think these blokes are a waste of time but he kept the kids happy and a lot of the littles one watched the action as well, normally there off playing instead of watching. Second new track in a week and enjoyed them both, coming back couse we will when we can, well done Plymouth. Oh and the Dick Barry thing was all a joke, nice to see the bloke again.

Kent Kings V Isle Of Wight Koc 24th June
P T Preece replied to blueherb777's topic in National League Speedway
My first visit to see the kent kings, long trip down from Brumm, but what a fantastic place views alround no posts or lights to get in the way, nice clean seats to sit on, some standing areas, puts a lot of the EL and PL clubs to shame. As we travelled from The midlands the start time was ideal didnt get home too late, well run meeting and some good work from the Ref. Track staff worked hard with the shale they could find, the lad on the first bend did a great job. Had the bonus of the Bronze helmet race as well, do like tracks to have curfews it means they have to get on with it. If your down that way well worth a visit, just needs a little more shale. Hope to be back soon. -

Enjoyed that, one of the best meeting Ive seen this year, thought it was the right decision in heat 13, Brummies supporter so no axe to grind. A very cold night again but enjoyable saturday night racing, still the best night of the week to see racing. I saw the promoter as we left the stadium and he didnt look happy at all got to feel sorry for the riders at times like that. -
