  1. Don't think so Gazc. You're being very diplomatic. Astute choice of guest taking full advantage of the rules won. Don't blame the Rebs at all - it's the rules that are at fault.
  2. Totally agree. The guest system is a farce especially in away matches. Teams should never be stronger with a guest than they would with their own rider. If you have an injury in the team that's bad luck but shouldn't make you stronger.
  3. That's a great claim to fame. I have to go there every year when I'm up to have a look at all the bridges.
  4. That's the Oirish in you!! More fisticuffs in Glesga toon. Good stuff if only the mechanics were kept out of it. Or else let them all do it on the centre green so everyone can see.
  5. Round and round the garden like a teddy bear. One step, two step, Tickle you under there Plenty of time for someone to give Tungate a shake though. A PL number 1???????????????
  6. Young Master Bates is doing a decent impersonation of Dan the Wee Man!!!
  7. As an Edinburgh supporter I'm obviously best placed to comment on the luminous efficacy of the lighting at foxholes. So whilst is is usually better than Armadiddle was on Friday, it in no way matches the dazzlingness of a sunny summer afternoon in poshfield when it can be even to bright to race.
  8. I was a train spotter when I was young. Now I'm a miserable old sod. So train spotting obviously makes you happy and/or keeps you young.
  9. I've seen floodlights fail during the meeting at Peterborough and possibly at ippo. Far safer failing before racing starts. But sums up our season after the unprecedented number of rain-offs.
  10. Told you Jacobs had been watching Sarjeant too closely!
  11. Cheers Steve!! Glad you took the time to read it!!
  12. I'm a miserable old sod. I quite like being a miserable old sod. I don't like dodgy pm's, texts or phone calls and don't do them, maybe because I'm a miserable old sod. I like Wagon Wheels and Pick n Mix. I enjoy a bit of noise when I'm not doing the Chatzone updates or listening to whether I've won the prize draw. I missed out on meeting Jim and his mate because I wasn't there. I think it was because of my father-in-law who definitely isn't all there - but he used to be all there before the Alzheimers took over. But he's still confounding medical opinion and is still there - just not all there. They've nicknamed him Lazarus in the care home. But he's still there. I can't be a liar because you need a good memory to be a good liar and my memory's not what it was because I'm a miserable old sod. But I think Mr. Presenter is doing a great job, It's just that I still can't hear him to be sure. Maybe that's also because I'm a miserable old sod or maybe it's because of something else. But in the back straight scaffolding I'm still there. But I still don't like the Weegies and that's not because I'm a miserable old sod.
  13. In that case I apologise. But obviously we went through the "illness" saga against the Panties very recently. So I hope he makes an early recovery.
  14. You have to laugh. But he'll have made a full and miraculous recovery by Sunday no doubt. But hey ho it happens all the time.
