  1. I don't think a thread on here is "official" though.
  2. But if you go down the "young" route you rule out the late starters. It's not manipulation. There were rules which are apparently being followed. And Mitch is only 26. Danny Ayres was 29 when he got the job last year and as for Tiger Louis!!!
  3. Mark Loram was born in Malta. I won't go even down the Tai Woffenden route!!
  4. 5.03 to play with. I believe new Aussies are now on 5.0. But of course since it's us he might come in on a 3.0!!
  5. Yep all spot on!! So Mark and Josh have come in as 3's or even lower? Bonzer!!
  6. Well both Riss boys plus Cleggy have got a fair bit of improvement in them. And I would expect Smiler and Alfie's namesake Ricky to both add a bit to their averages. So then it's down to whether our other Aussie and ex-Aussie can keep to their averages. So not the strongest team we've ever had at the start of the season but should be flying high come the second half.
  7. Gater1, on 29 Dec 2016 - 11:38 AM, said: And how much do you know about Pickering? He might be another Brady Kurtz/Max Fricke/Jake Allen.
  8. How knowledgeable you are. Mark Riss is at reserve until his average gets too high. Then Cleggy or Pickering.
  9. I preferred it when there were vultures races before the match to decide the reserve!!!
  10. The secret is out then - and Josh pickering it is. A gamble obviously but hopefully one that will pay off. http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news-centre/article/2016-12-29/aussie-josh-completes-the-team Good luck to the lad.
  11. Indeed. BSPA site doesn't show the 2.5% newbie allowance for cleggy.
  12. Merry Christlemas to all my fans and followers and anyone else that knows me and wants to join the select club. Goodwill to all the poor Weegies, and panties supporters (does that mean elastic?). And of course the fellow Back Straight Fans! Prepare to eat dirt from our back wheels again!
  13. I don't like to be too Picky so maybe they will Stew on it for a while.
  14. Nope both way too high. More likely to be a new Aussie I would think.
  15. Hmmmm. Edinburgh gave 2 x 3 pointers the chance in 2015 and stuck by them all season. So the powers that be then changed the rules and one of them was then out of a job. But at least we agree on the last line of your post!!
  16. No flack from me. have a good one jenga.
  17. Do proctor and campton have British passports?
  18. I blame the schools but I smell your fear. The BSPA agreed this year he was British enough for them but he's obviously not British enough for some of our neighbours.
  19. Well said Gazc. The lad seems well settled over here now so hardly should be treated as another Johnny Foreigner. Needs to keep off the scaffolding though, or whatever it was he fell off a few months ago!!
  20. Interesting indeed. BSPA really are from the Wild West. Maybe Mark Riss is on 2.44.
