Stellar Monarchs Academy vs Belle Vue Colts 14/04 7.30pm
TheScotsman replied to gmuncie's topic in National League Speedway
I had an email from them this morning outlining the issues and the resolution. They advised the full meeting is available to view on the website. They also offered a full refund because of the inconvenience, as a goodwill gesture. That's an extremely generous offer. But I will not be taking it up, having been able to watch 14 of the heats, albeit a few heats behind the live action. Good luck to the Academy lads and the promotion. -
Edinburgh look odds-on favourites. Not a weakness in the team so far.

Cheers Nickinho - that was a great watch. I remember him coming up to join the Monarchs later in 1960. A really nice bloke.

Post of the year I say.

So KT is back. And with a shiny new visa!! Rest of the team obviously picks itself.
-
2 o'clock or 6 o'clock but not in the team.
-
I feel your pain!
-
Indeed. Would find heat 1s a bit easier if he sharpens up his gating though. Could be a good battle trying to keep Cookie out of the number 1 slot!
-
But not on a bike!
-
Rew won't be at Edinburgh.
-
Sounds about right!
-
He won't be at Brum.
-
Harris will be at Glasgow. Pickering at Edinburgh.
-
Nightmare team you mean.
-
Living but not riding.

How much do you want back?
-
Midlands maybe?

But Sam has been with Edinburgh since about 2014 and has just got better each season. I think some supporters may even have paid his transfer fee. So why should he have to give that up. Did Carl Stonehewer not ride in the GPs while he was with Workington? And Jack Young won the World Championship while an Edinburgh rider in Division 2. And Ivan Mauger was way too good for the Provincial League in the early sixties. But they all put bums on seats and opposition supporters were desperate to see their guys come out on top against them. Edinburgh own the contracts for Sam and Josh Pickering so they shouldn't be deprived of watching them. (Though if they can't get a venue sorted out soon that's what will happen.) If the likes of Edinburgh are prepared to build a team within the points limit that still fits in the likes of Sam and Josh why should it matter to anyone else?

But but but - all our team has already been allocated elsewhere for 2023 - well according to BSF team lineups for next season!! -

I assume discussions have probably started re the use of Armadale for a bit longer as part of the statement on Edinburgh's website "Further talks are currently taking place to establish all possible options forward." I may have misconstrued your question but you mentioned a million for 2023 at Armadale.
